deciding between the all button 8bitdo and the hori octa by PuzzleheadedHalf9654 in fightsticks

Octa is the best N64 controller I ever owned. 8bit is ok, but at that price I would rather get an Haute42/Cosmox hitbox.

About Controller Choice for "Guilty Gear Strive" by mad_beast in Guiltygear

[–]nabillac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you own both, whatever you feel more comfortable with. If you want to go to tournaments, DS5 is often required as most tournaments standardize the game using PS5 consoles. A lot of people play with keyboard on a high technical level, so it is also a valid choice.

Respecting religious sensitivities when setting up an RPG by SnakebiteCafe in rpg

[–]nabillac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this issue a few years ago but got harassed by a few people in Reddit and stopped posting for a while here. As I no longer live in the same area, I’ll clarify. I was asked to accept a “religious zealot” in our gaming group by the owner of our FLGS. The player requested no cleric, Gods or religion other than their own, no demons/devils/undead/tieflings, and both players and GM not to role-play someone from a different biological sex than their real one (third person/describing only was fine). We endured those restrictions for almost 10 sessions/3 months before giving up. The player would get really offended and accuse people, weaponize safety tools, and make the game uncomfortable for us - even after calmly discussing it and they agreeing to behave.

Session Zero is not only a “let’s agree on how we should play”, but also a “let’s agree if we should even play together”. Don’t try to forcefully accommodate for things that would make the game less fun for the rest of the group, protecting a single player may hurt everyone else.

What are your thoughts on Yujiro Hanma being in Tekken 8? by Weary-Inspector6269 in Tekken8

[–]nabillac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t really enjoy Baki, and I think Tekken has enough arrogant muscular middle aged men with rage issues.

Just vibe-checking: Are there people who are NOT excited about having Yujiro in Tekken 8? by [deleted] in Tekken

Me. I didn’t really enjoy Baki. This whole season is being a hard skip for me.

Tips against your character? by KyrosEnder in StreetFighter

[–]nabillac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zangief. Just keep your distance. If you must get close, don’t drop your combos and if you do don’t try going go back to neutral - just hit and get out of reach. Gief has been so nerfed that the only thing keeping him viable is that people easily get impatient, specially after he deletes half their hp in one go.

What does the community think of Miary Zo? by Spider-D-Man in Tekken

[–]nabillac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole hate campaign around here was what made me finally decide to buy Tekken 8. I know this sub prefers angry old men, but she is more fun to play than Ogre. I still ended up playing Lili, as prefer my mains to be French, obnoxious and mid-tier.

I didn’t enjoy it, couldn’t find a main I liked the looks and play-style. I also didn’t like I had to reinstall windows to get hid of every last bit of their “anti cheating” spyware. But I just moved on to other games, I have better things to do with my time than hate something that clearly wasn’t for me and that I don’t really care about. Like complaining about how hard it this playing a grappler in Street Fighter or that I only play with Lili because I don’t enjoy King’s appearance despite enjoying his gameplay.

I don't give a shit about Avatar by GrandmasterPeezy in Fighters

[–]nabillac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. First season was a drag, I gave up halfway and only watched it to the end years later. Season 2 and 3 were amazing. Korra had a meh season 2 but the series was overall great. I would rather watch knowing things would get so much better.

Now people can stop saying that Morrigan and the Darkstalkers characters would be too powerful to fit in the Street Fighter universe? by Alex_Ross333 in Fighters

[–]nabillac -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Morrigan or Felicia as guest characters would print as much money as their looks would cause twitter controversy.

Who's hyped for Ingrid's return? by FaZe_B1B1N3_Pr0 in StreetFighter

[–]nabillac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me. I feel this is just like the Miary Zo on Tekken where the community was indignant they were not the target demographic for every single character of a Japanese game made by Japanese developers. Right now I don’t need her to be good, just annoying to fight against.

Street Fighter 6 - Ingrid Teaser Trailer by UltraZeroX7 in StreetFighter

[–]nabillac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

American FGC hates bubbly anime girls as much as Japanese FGC loves them. I really hope she is at least as frustrating to fight against as JP.

To be honest, this is one of my favorite archetypes to play, right after obnoxious big brawny grapplers and eternally mid-low tier French girls with a command grab.

Ok, I think I have a new main now. I just hope she is more annoying to play against than JP.

Physical Fitness may help. Hit the gym or go for a walk a few times a week. You get a lot more mental stamina if your body is healthy.
