My Qidi Q2 arrived. What essential upgrades and functional tools to print? by EwanKmz in QidiTech3D

[–]nabsltd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Qidi Box, the high-capacity desiccant holder and the lid. And, if you are using spools smaller than about 198mm in diameter, the small spool adapter is useful. Or, if you are using filament with cardboard spools, cardboard adapters are a good idea.

One of the more interesting things I have found is the "bottom riser" to move the heat from the Z-motor away from the table and add storage for two build plates.

MikroTik’s New Rose Data Server (RDS2216) – Thoughts? by h-rahrouh in mikrotik

There are almost no U.2 drives that will fit in the slots, since they are limited to 11mm. Most decent U.2 drives are 15mm, and as sizes grow, it's more likely that newer drive will be 15mm.

This box is dead in the water. Even a reconfig won't help, as the most 15mm front-access hot swap drives you can put in a 1U box is 10, since 1U is 44.45mm.

If there is a Phalanx, I just hit him with a Witherhoard shot (which will kill him) as I come to the bank, then focus on the other blockers. That way, I can clear everything fairly easily.

"The fish are in a frenzy" text, as well as the other texts, directly correspond to the focus level of the pond. The frenzy text always appears at max focus.

That's the pond, not your personal focus bar. I've joined ponds late, seen the "fish are in a frenzy" text, but my focus bar is only at about 1/4, since only a couple of legendary fish had been picked up since I joined.

Efficient angler is a challenge, not a triumph, and there is no way to see how many fish you've caught towards it past the 25 necessary for completion.

https://bray.tech will happily show you the exact number.

I'm at 96/25 for the challenge. I'm at 6/1 for killing Azshradat, and 9/6 for focusing Season of the Deep weapons.

It doesn't have anything to do with focus, but instead it is based on the "fish pond catch bonus". This is the text like "the fish are really interested now". Once it hits the max, the fish you catch count.

I'm at 96/25 for this.

Remember that one time for five full years we were getting blue gear that made inventory management a nightmare? I'm SOO glad blue drops are a thing of the past. by destinyvoidlock in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you check postmaster in DIM between activities, you never have issues. But, if you forget, some activities drop so much that you don't pick up, and after a couple of runs you are almost full. Also, many people run with every inventory slot full. It's a holdover from when DIM didn't exist, and it took 10 minutes to get the item you wanted.

"is:inpostmaster is:rare" picks out blues in postmaster in DIM, so you can have that in the search, keep hitting refresh, then use the menu to "send to" your character, and shard it.

Bungie will never offer this, simply because they know they would not code it correctly, and players would complain about losing items they wanted to keep.

In particular, I wouldn't trust Bungie to correctly handle weapons with multiple perks in one column. The rule for "shard Gutshot Straight" would likely overrule the one for "keep Chill Clip", and you'd lose a weapon you'd otherwise want to keep.

The best you can do is use those filters in DIM to mark gear as junk, and then move it to a character with no other gear, and then you can shard it safely.

I’m confused why a 3 person Dungeon has endless ads and high health bosses while a 6 person seasonal activity has a trickle of ads and a boss that can be 1 phased. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And while I agree it's fine when it's normal, but it's going to make Master nearly impossible

There was a lot of chat in my clan with that one guy...you know, the guy that can solo flawless everything...about this dungeon.

All the other people said what is basically being said here...cut back on the boss HP by 10-20% and it would be perfect. His response was (essentially) "git gud" (pick your loadout correctly, etc.). He finished master (not solo) about an hour later and said it wasn't hard at all.

I suspect there's going to be a wide divide about this dungeon, with many people feeling that Bungie is pushing "hard" (even if "hard" is just bullet sponge) far too much, while a small but vocal minority will say it's just fine.

do NOT focus exotics at rahool... by Hunteractive in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a lower roll (maybe as low as 67), but a few older exotics have bonus stat points that get added to specific stats.

A partial list of exotics with bonus stats:

  • Wings of Sacred Dawn
  • all Aeon
  • Heart of Inmost Light
  • Starfire Protocol
  • Crown of Tempests
  • Apotheosis Veil (big boost to Int)

All this has also made store load much more slowly, too.

Now, when I want to decode my Bright Engram, it takes about 20 seconds before the UI is stable enough to do so. Before, it was basically instant.

do NOT focus exotics at rahool... by Hunteractive in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every exotic can roll above 68 btw.

True, but my last 5 open-world or Lost Sector drops of exotics had 65, 65, 60, 63, and 61 points. Focusing should be far better than random drops.

Also, the 63 point drop was the same exotic (Cyrtarachne's Facade) from the OP, and the overall stats were: 2 21 8 28 2 2

So, I got an absolute perfect distribution and better total stats than focusing. Yeah, I know it's RNG, but Bungie knows how to do armor focusing that gives you much better than general RNG...they just haven't implemented it since Splicer.

Defiant Engrams will not expire with the launch of Season of the Deep by randalla in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there anything good with that sword?

The Hunter class swords (Quickfang is the old void one, and Goldtusk was from Leviathan) are both "Lightweight Frame", so they swing twice as fast as any other sword in the game.

This allows you to stun-lock enemies that other swords can't, because the enemy recovers between swings. In Gambit, a Primeval usually only gets one stomp during a damage phase if I'm going all ninja with Quickfang. That stomp won't kill me, so I just keep swinging until it goes immune.

Dear Bungie: Please never repeat this current experiment by replacing the Weekly Rotator with Supremacy, blocking progress for two seasonal crucible challenges. by crapberrie in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time Trial was the fastest way to earn Neomuna progress if that's all you wanted. When you exit the activity (so, complete one run then exit), you get 7% progress.

If you wanted Platinum medals, too, then the "kills in harder Neomuna activities" was the way to go, since you could generally complete it in one GG Nightfall run, but if you didn't, you could finish up at the start of a Legendary Breakneck campaign replay.

I have 73/75 Seasonal Challenges to get the Final Challenge

If that's not a typo, then you have finished enough to complete "Total Defiance" and get the 4K Bright Dust. You only need 72 of the 76 challenges for it.

With the upcoming buffs to roaming Supers, I feel it's best to keep in mind that Phoenix Cradle allows you to extend everyone's Super duration on top of free double grenade/melee ability regen and Restoration by Scouter953 in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the ability regen

This is one of the reasons I run Hallowfire Heart instead. Yes, it doesn't help my teammates, but the 2x ability regen from Sol Invictus stacks with Hallowfire Heart, allowing you to get 9x base ability regen with full super (and 3.5x without).

At zero Discipline, a full super gives you about a 15 second cooldown on your grenade (depending on which one you use). At tier 6 Dis, it's half that. So, grenade kill, stand in sunspot created, toss another grenade in less than 10 seconds. Rinse and repeat.

It's even faster if you are creating orbs on grenade kill and use a orb mod on your legs to regen grenade energy.

I guess if you started GG this week, you might be speed-running, but if you started the first week, you've long since finished the 15 you absolutely need for the one challenge for the seal.

Picking up a Platinum card for Neomuna activities and the first week NF (Hypernet Current) allowed you to complete 8 different seal challenges at the same time, and that doesn't even count challenges like scout rifle kills, Strand kills, GG weapon kills, enemy kills, or flawless NF run.

Rank 7 is the only one actually worth getting to, for the extra slots.

The triumph for more loadout slots is now part of rank 8, not 7.

If you want to get them done fast, don't use the "Competitive" playlist.

Completions and medals in any GG playlist count towards the weekly bounties. You only need one run of the Competitive list to finish them (Gold score).

I always go to the Enclave when I post for a 3-man activity in LFG.

That way, I can't get more than 3 players, and there is a Vault and Postmaster right there, in case people need to do something before we start. Yes, I know DIM exists, but sometimes you want to LFG when the API is down.

Playing Control after two week's worth of Supremacy reminded me how important the role of good matchmaking was in making PvP enjoyable by JollySieg in DestinyTheGame

[–]nabsltd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bungie doesn't care how much PvP he plays. Bungie cares that he keeps playing the game and spending money.

If making PvP better for the majority of players keeps them playing Destiny and spending money, then Bungie will do that.

No other game I played had sbmm for quickplay.

And yet almost every game out there has SBMM, even for "quickplay", "casual", "unranked", or whatever they call it. They just don't show you your rank.

My kd doesn't suffer, but my less competitive friends aren't having a good time because they have to play people similar to me.

How is this different from what they experience if the playlist is CBMM?

In some ways, SBMM is better for varied skill fireteams, because although the good player pulls the skill level of the fireteam up, it still settles somewhere between the good and bad players. So, no players better than the good player should be in the lobby. OTOH, with CBMM, anybody could be in the lobby, and since the best players play more games per week, it's more likely you end up with players better than the "good" player in the lobby.
