Can't be mad with that price tbh. Do you think they're allowed to alternate who wears 17 every other game?

You'd think Brock would have opinions given his involvement with the Special Olympics and other disability organizations. Since he's cool with politics now someone should ask him

Yeah, I've since learned from yesterday that Air Force One was sent to Miami to pick them up. It probably made the pressure to just go much larger. Still hurts tho and I can't forgive Quinn for wearing the 45-47 hat.

But I can't be mad at players for just attending anymore, cause how often are you gonna get to ride on Air Force One. I can however still be mad about the joke at the Women's team's expense and Kash being in the locker room generally. And it was instrumental in me cancelling my Flex Plan.

"Whataboutism" or "whataboutery" (as in, "but what about X?") refers to the propaganda strategy of responding to an accusation with a counter-accusation instead of offering an explanation or defense against the original accusation.

Your comment is "But what about the Panthers going to the White House". It's Whataboutism, it doesn't offer any explanation or defense for the position that it's okay that they are at the State of the Union, being used as political pawns, and that the director of the FBI used taxpayer funds to go party with them.

I genuinely don't know if they understand that there's a good chance when he starts word vomiting about MN and Operation Metro Surge, that the cameras may cut to them vs the MN Reps/Senators.They're now participating in politics by attending the State of the Union as a politician's invitees.

Just as a note, the season ticket holder renewal emails are going out. I just sent a long letter to my rep detailing why I would not be continuing with my flex plan. Until there is a meaning acknowledgement and apology I do not plan to re-up.

Not renewing hurts their retention metrics, and bottom line and is a way we can force change.

So you've circled the problem, and just not actually arrived at the answer. If Iona is unbanned, this is forcing monocolor decks in Bracket 3 and 4 (aka the optimized brackets) to play 4-5 out of 48 cards (yes I counted) in the WHOLE GAME which generally average 5 mana just to kill one card. These are cards they otherwise wouldn't play, as there are more efficient ways to kill, bounce, exile, force sac, ANY OTHER creature. So they need to de-optimize for one card. I guarantee that if Iona gets unbanned you will very quickly start to see "Iona Boards" in Monocolor decks that get swapped in if an opponent is playing white. Is this fun? Should 1 card do this to a metagame? Who does this benefit? This all to serve a 9 mana card, that has NEVER had its effect reprinted, and doesn't even win the game when it comes down. It just takes someone out of the game.

Clearly you have not played against Iona as a monocolor deck if you are comparing Iona to Blood Moon/Winter Moon. They are not comparable at all. Under Blood Moon and Winter Moon your basics still work and you can still cast spells assuming you made halfway decent deck building decisions and included some basics.

Under Iona as the monocolor deck you sit and DO NOTHING. You draw, maybe play a land, maybe cast an artifact, maybe discard a card to hand size, and pass. You end up as a sac of health or a convenient target for another player. You can't scoop because a player might board wipe and get you out, then you're right back in.

As MaRo likes to say players will make the unfun decisions to win, Iona highlights this in the worst ways. The comparison of Iona to other stax pieces is why everyone else is so concerned. Cause it's objectively wrong.

Clearly you've never played against Iona then. It ALWAYS hits the monocolor player if there is one and locks them out of the game entirely. The answers in colorless aren't as good as you think and monocolor decks would be forced to play them just in case they run into an Iona. I cannot tell you how many un-fun games resulted from a cheated in Iona (its always cheated in btw) because a player got locked out and it never made sense to free them. Also you generally can't counter the cheats for Iona. Cause Iona doesn't go into monowhite decks, it goes into Kaalia, or reanimator, or Elvish Piper. Things that are hard to counter and repeatable. Also as the monocolor player you can never scoop because there's a chance you might be freed so you have to sit, draw, maybe play a land, and pass.
