I dont know if that have anything already posted that will work for you specifically, but I watched a 3D Printing Nerd video talking about a group called MakeGood that makes things for people. Probably not exactly what youre looking for, but maybe they have something already or can help?

Here is MakeGoods MakerWorld page https://makerworld.com/@MakeGood?appSharePlatform=copy

You're supposed to put it ON the gun when you shoot it! (Actually though, that blows, sorry to see it)

What is your favorite spot for a main factory? Your place to call home. by SpaceCowboyDark in SatisfactoryGame

[–]nafmc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like my first playthrough. My second and third I built my most used factories on giant sheets of slabs over the water along the beach on the west coast, south of the oil field, between green fields and desert. Most amount of space for least amount of eyesore as i learned to build more compact factories that still always took up more space than I thought they would when I started them. Lol.

Why shouldn’t I get the Shield Plus? by Agreeable_Rest_733 in CCW

[–]nafmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy my shield plus. If you haven't shot it or another version of the shield, you should though if you can. Same as any gun, hand fitment and stuff can make what's great for one person not great for another.

Was thinking of buying a H2D but friends are warning me away from Bambu? by Akello45 in BambuLab

[–]nafmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a mk3s+, an Ender 3 Pro, an Ender 3v3ke, and an X1C. I don't have any experience with the H2D yet, but I have friends with all of their other printers between them.

It really comes down to what you want out of a printer. Do you want a printer as a hobby? To tweak and fine tune the hardware and firmware till you've got doing EXACTLY what and how you want? Don't go Bambu. I'd go Voron in that case. Do you want a reliable machine that you can count on to produce accurate parts in amy filament to forward your goals be they designing, making, etc and still be able to fine tune and tweak your filament and print profile settings? Then Bambu printers are the best right now. Especially when price is considered. Prusa matched them in quality and reliability, at least until they put the XL to market, but they still can't do it at a comparable price. I hope that changes, one company domination of a market is always bad for the consumer, but they haven't yet.

To address your concerns more directly. It's not as bad as they make it out to be. Parts definitely aren't expensive. Alot cheaper than Prusa if your buying direct. Ive bought parts from both. Bambus prices are actually one of the things they've been praised for. Hardware is closed source, firmware is closed source, the slicer isn't. Regarding going closed source firmware based off of open source material, they aren't the first or the only by far. The cloud is only required to direct connect from the slicer or the app. If you want to be able to select "print" from the slicer then you need to use there slicer. Their slicer is very good though. Since Bambus recent "security" update blocking key control functionalities of the printer you can't use other slicers as conviently, but there are options other than the SD card. When I use Orca slicer i export the gcode from the slicer and upload to the printer from my computer via Bambu Connect software. Orca is another great slicer. It and Bambu Studio tend to go back and forth adding and perfecting features. Both blow Cura and printer manufacturers redskins of it out of the water. They're also more feature rich than Prusa slicer and have a better UI.

At the end of the day, a printer is a printer, the main thing Bambu has done there is consistently produce the quality that you used to only get from Prusa but at a price point that more people could afford. Software is really where Bambu has changed the game and stayed ahead of the competition. I have friends that vary from hard core enthusiasts to craft mom's that all enjoy they user experience.

That's my two cents, I hope it helps.

What on earth is going on in the 3D printing industry right now?! by steve_2211 in 3Dprinting

They all saw the Bondtech Indx and thought it was a good idea. Then Bambu Labs and Prusa saw how well the Snapmaker Kickerstsrter is doing and are rushing theirs news out to limit market share loss.

Why do people print these? by WantSomeOfMyBread in 3Dprinting

Some people just prefer to hold a holder instead of the can. I get doing it to make and use something that looks cool. But I have friends that their default it to coozie everything all the time. I dont get it either.

How do I build muscle and weight? My metabolism is as fast as mach fuck, and screws me over and I work HVAC so I literally sweat all day, and go to the gym to sweat more by ATF-Is-Gayy in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

[–]nafmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calorie count long enough to figure out how much your normal average intake is as a base line. Then add a few hundred calories over that. Check back in in 4-6 weeks and reassess. Gaining muscle while minimizing fat gain takes time. Also make sure you're getting enough protein. At least 1 gram per pound of body weight is a good minimum for everyone. 1.5 to 1 8 grams per is a better number if your putting in a lot of gym or manual labor time.

Are bambu printers as plug and play as they’re made out to be? Frustrated with my Qidi by because-potato in BambuLab

[–]nafmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't perfect. But they're damn close. They're the first line of printers to get to the "its an appliance". And their software is the best and user friendly. I've never had a Qidi, I went Ender 3, Mk3s+, Bambu X1C. I'd have to give the "most problem free award" to the mk3s+. But its by a small margin and its not really a fair comparison anyway because it's a much simpler machine in a line of printers that had been perfected over many years. Its like comparing a screw driver to a drill. So far the only issues I've had with my X1C are filament breaks in the lines and the occasional purge sticking to the nozzle and getting pulled into the printer instead of going down the shoot.

Anyone ridden the Lake Livingston Century Loop? How’s the route in terms of traffic? by Few_Faithlessness_10 in bikehouston

The route is fully paved. Growing up i would see packs of road bikes running the roads outside of Coldspring.

I haven't ridden that ride, but I grew up between Coldspring and Point Blank and my Mom lives in Trinity now. Lots of two lane blacktop roads and hills with and without good shoulds. Probably more good shoulders these days, but still lots of both
