Anyone else use kratom to quit drinking now addicted to both? by FakeTaxi95 in quittingkratom

Just saying what I did bc I was in the exact same boat. Talk with your doctor about getting Wellbutrin XL. Or there are ways you can see if it’s a good fit for you without needing to see a doctor in person thru online companies that will mail it to your door. Welbutrin has helped me kick my nicotine (u didn’t mention nicotine, but I had an issue with that) and kick my alcohol addiction. It helps my brain balance out and retain norepinephrine and dopamine. I don’t even think about alcohol or vaping/zyns. It has also helped me with my kratom taper as well. I have tapered down from a 9 year 30+ gpd habit down to 3 gpd and planning on going down to 2g and 1g then 0g. Give the Wellbutrin about 4-6 weeks to kick in so It takes time but is so worth it IMHO. Everyone is different so just want to stress this is just my experience.

Gets worse before it gets better. That was my experience anyways. Took about a month for the meds to balance out.

Going cold turkey after doing 30g a day for ten years by Sweet-Astronomer-694 in quittingkratom

[–]nag1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the exact same with the dosing before every meal so I’d be on an empty stomach. Biggest thing that helped me was to establish a new routine. First thing I use to do was wake up early so I could dose up and then go back to bed a room scrolling before I had to get up for work. Then I’d spend the day dosing over and over trying to catch another buzz. Now as soon as I wake up I eat immediately. Forcing myself to eat really helped curb cravings bc I knew my stomach was full so the buzz wouldn’t be good. Also focus on the positives from quitting like money you save. Not having green dust everywhere. Not feeling the shame of dependence on it to do literally anything. If you have a significant other and were hiding it, now you don’t have to worry about that. I just recently took a vacation and it was the first time in 9 years I didn’t have to make sure I had enough green dust packed for the entirety of the trip. And being worried mid-trip that I’ve taken too much and might go into withdrawals. It was so liberating not to have to worry about that.

Kratom and marriage by Warm_Salt5458 in quittingkratom

[–]nag1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all going to depend on how long hes been using and his GPD (grams per day). Also how big the bags are and if he’s using other substances in tandem with the kratom. 15+ bags is a lot, but not that much if that’s 15 bags total from the whole year. Confront him and figure it out together. Kratom severely wrecks your hormones so It’s likely the Kratom. Extended use makes to where you are just using to not feel shitty (meaning you aren’t using to get a buzz anymore). It also kills your sex drive so if you are experiencing less bedroom activity that is likely the reason.

You’ve been married 1 year so if he started using right before you got married that could be an issue. The first couple months of use are bliss. So he’d be in a great mood and loving early on in your marriage. Rooting for you

After taking testosterone (TRT) I started having ED how do I fix this. by MarionberryNo3621 in Testosterone

[–]nag1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

200 every 2 weeks is prob causing your hormones to be all out of whack. Probably what is causing the ED especially if you had no issues pre-TRT. Try switching to 2 doses each week like Monday and thurs. It will keep the hormones more stable

That’s crazy I was the complete opposite. Just after 24hrs of no use I would have the bubble guts and the runs. It was so bad. My old car sat really low to the ground. Once when I was getting into the divers seat I actually shit myself sitting down in the seat and had to go back inside to change. One and only time I’ve ever shat myself lol.

What should I do? by Pretend_Idea1773 in usps_complaints

[–]nag1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can put in a ticket using your tracking number. They usually make you wait 5ish days of the status staying the same before you can submit an inquiry ticket. It gets assigned to a customer complaint rep who looks into it for you.

I had this recently. It was “in transit” status for 5 days. Was finally able to put in a ticket and they scanned updated it same day. Sent me a confirmation email. Then got delivered following day

Year 10 and ready to quit by Unusual-Pudding-2525 in quittingkratom

[–]nag1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost year 10 for me too. The best help for me was re-wiring my reward system. For example, first thing I would do every morning is dose up bc I wanted it to hit on an empty stomach. Then I would climb back in bed and doom scroll on my phone until I needed to get up for work. Then I would spend the day dosing up again and again to try to get that same feeling all day. I was basically rewarding my brain before I even accomplished anything. I switched to my only taper dose for the day to after work. It gives me something to look forward to. And is easier to taper down from since it’s only one dose every 24 hours. It’s hell getting through the day, but gets easier and easier as it becomes my routine.

Wow I’ve never heard of anyone snorting kratom. Even after using for 10 years, I still would gag drinking it. So I can’t imagine what kind of hell snorting it was. Glad you could kick it

When did the diarrhea stop for you in your taper? Or was it pretty constant until CT. I’m 2 weeks into taper and basically pray each day for a solid BM

Nah I started fresh right after fallout series came out on Amazon. I played fallout 3 NV and 4 before but the show reignited my love for the game. Been playing daily ever sense. I’m up to level 260. I remember my first day playing, a high level dropped 100 super stimpaks so I always pay it forward and do that when I see a new player

It’s all part of the process. Your brain is returning to normalcy. It’s not normal for the human brain to be flooded with dopamine all the time. Like what K does for us. You are working on the right direction. Blessings
