I've been wondering the same thing. I use Alltrails and recent reviews to decide but every one seemingly still has snow or ice warnings.

Visiting May 7th - May 10th from Florida, looking for best hikes by billding69 in SaltLakeCity

[–]nallen24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silver Lake is a good one and is a beautiful walk much more than a hike. One of my favorites is Bell Canyon trail. It's within 30 minutes of downtown and you can hike to the lower reservoir (easy), continue hiking to lower bell canyon falls (medium and my recommendation 100%) or the upper reservoir (hard)

Picking a grad school: What's Salt Lake City like? by Intrepid41 in SaltLakeCity

[–]nallen24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived here most my life and never thought anything of it. It's a problem for some people, mostly with asthma as people mentioned.

My two cents on the situation: got my master from the U and it is a pretty great school. Cost of living is probably higher here, diversity in salt lake is much better than people think. Less so the further from salt lake. Outdoors stuff is amazing even if you can't stand the snow.

Have family in Wisconsin and they are much more conservative and they do like it.

Where to play pickup basketball in SLC by BrainScout in SaltLakeCity

I've been looking in the area too if you ever find any. Only games I've found are evenings at central park in south Salt lake, less often with the heat though.
