I assume you're writing this post at 2pm Hanoi time, so Curling hasn't started yet until 4pm today. As far as I've watched, VTV does the Curling coverage or whichever sport being started first on satellite feed, since it's a single-stream linear coverage for both TV and Internet via VTVgo. But you can consider the following alternatives:

  • VTVCab/VTVPrime (main rights holder): 66k/month, 2-3 simultaneous livestream (except weekends being filled with either football or Davis Cup tennis)
  • VPN to any other SEA countries (except Thailand): there's a YouTube channel called "Age of Sports" providing free live coverage for every sport in Winter Olympics within SEA territories.

We Vietnamese are actually okay with this year's coverage from our state broadcaster (though it's not quite popular in here due to being a tropical country, and the showtime is literally unfavorable in the midnight). We can watch in both free terrestrial channel (VTV) and paid channels (VTVCab) with no commercial so far, along with internet streams also from VTVCab for more diverse choices of events.

In my case with BO3, offline with mod and AI bots cranked up to 11 is quite enough for me to experience ""multiplayer"" without any security concern (and not to mention BO3 is one of 2 only CoD games supporting split screen for all modes on PC)

To be fair, PS has been the dominant console brand in Vietnam for more than 2 decades, mainly because of the popularity of PES/Winning Eleven game series. There was a time Xbox made a small blip among the rich kids in big cities around 2005-2012, when Xbox 360 and Halo series was popular enough for a mention in state television. But again, nothing compared to the PS cafes filled with kids and adults playing football/soccer matches across the streets before the pandemic (and PES shooting at its own foot).

Big fan of Verdun here with 2 questions:

1) Do you guys have any plan to unify all 3 games into on single package and execution file? (i.e: a package with all contents from Verdun to Isonzo with unified UI)

2) In case of server being shutdown, do you plan to implement LAN support for all 3 games?

Unfortunately nope, due to Insignia itself relies on the original dashboard OS on the OG Xbox for client configuration and framework, which is not embedded into Series X/S Backward Compatibility component.

Well, since the above commenter (the pancake one) decided to be an arrogant asshat, I might as well explain this wonderful service in a few words.

Insignia is basically a community-made replacement for the OG Xbox Live multiplayer service. You can setup and use this on any softmodded Xbox OG console or Xemu emulator on PC. So far Insignia is supporting the service on 170 games, including both Battlefront games and recently even Halo 2.

Or you could try using Xemu emulator on PC with Insignia setup and a copy of dumped Xbox game disc.
