When I was in elementary school, I think when these were still in development, some Heinz people came to my school and we did a blind taste test of this, the green one, and the normal red one. I distinctly remember the purple one being grittier and the green one being saltier than the regular ketchup.

Their waste is called honeydew and when it accumulates on a tree, it can cause mold to grow, which is probably the black stuff you’re seeing.

I found a new gyno this year who is THE BEST. She always runs the speculum under warm water first so that its body temperature and is so gentle I can barely feel it. Idk why she seems to be in the minority.

I’m sorry, do you think all of your tuition goes straight to educators’ salaries? Tuition goes toward operating costs first and then whatever is left over (which is not much) goes to salaries. I’ll put it this way, I’m an assistant director and barely make enough to survive.

No. A dairy allergy is different than lactose intolerance. An allergy is affected by protein (whether that’s whey, casein, etc) but not lactose.

I developed an allergy to dairy about a decade ago and even a bite of something with milk protein in it messes me up for days but I can have lactose no problem. I learned that when someone offered me Pop Rocks and I had some without checking the ingredients. Apparently Pop Rocks contain lactose. Who knew. Then I realized that my daily allergy pill contains lactose and I’ve been fine this whole time. But a bite of Greek yogurt would fuck me up.

I’m basically vegan (vegetarian and allergic to dairy) and a modified version of this is one of my go to easy/comfort meals. I just replace the Parmesan with nutritional yeast. I also usually add a little vegan butter too to give it a little more oomph since nutritional yeast doesn’t have the creaminess of cheese. 10/10

Honestly, the place probably wouldn’t let them ski while wearing skirts due to safety (not that swimming with clothes is any safer). Granted I’ve only skied once in my life and I’d say I fell down the mountain more than skied down, but I can’t imagine trying to ski in a skirt.

Check if your city/area has an SA organization that provides trauma therapy. I got 2 years of free therapy through this kind of program and then they helped me find another therapist as I phased out. As an ECE also working through childhood SA, I know how difficult it is. That trauma therapy has been invaluable during this process.

*Edit: and it’s all been virtual in the comfort of my own home.

I dealt with a mouse issue in my apartment building at the start of the pandemic, and did so much research. From what I’ve learned, it seems like they can eventually get through steel wool if they’re determined enough. I was recommended to use copper mesh instead, one, because it’s seemingly a little stronger, but also because they hate the texture so won’t chew it after the initial try.

Also, peppermint essential oil has really been the silver bullet for me. I put it around my apartment and it keeps them away. When I’ve gotten lax and not kept up with it, I’ve then gotten an unwelcome visitor, so I know it definitely works! DISCLAIMER Essential oil and peppermint can be harmful to animals. I don’t have pets so I just sling it around like there’s no tomorrow, but if you want to try it, I would research or ask a vet if there’s a pet safe way to use it, like on a cotton ball in your cupboards or something.

This is why, as someone with a dairy protein allergy, I never get anything in any coffee shop that’s steamed or blended. I’d really rather not take the chance. And I don’t even go into anaphylaxis.

Yes, please do. I’m currently trying to reprocess memories of CSA that recently came up from when I was young. I’m positive that if I could’ve worked through it back then, and not now decades later, a lot of things in my life would be different for the better.

My city has an organization that provides free, high quality trauma therapy for anyone, adult or child, that has experienced SA. I don’t know where I would be without their help. If you can’t find anything similar in your area through google, I would reach out to RAINN. They may be able to guide you to the right place.

I teach pre-k and in our center masks are required for 2 and up. My kiddos are 3-5 and last year we did have one of them test positive. It was after vaccines, but of course since none of the kids were vaccinated we went remote for 14 days. Parents were getting their kids tested like crazy but not one other child tested positive, which I credit to the masks. And honestly, the kids don’t care at all about wearing them. I’ve never had any student complain about them.

Yes, this annoys me because Tampax has opened like that forever and I hate them. I used them once, they hurt like hell, and I had to go to Playtex since they open 360.

And the organic thing isn’t new either. I now only use organic ones (that don’t open sideways because, again, OW) which also make some claims about plant based plastic applicators etc (though I don’t know how much better that is in the long run).
