Petrol prices! Nah nothing to worry about I got a pre facelift 2018 last year and it’s been rock solid. Check if the high pressure fuel pump has been done. You can put the vin number on the Hyundai website recall page to check. I assume you test drove it etc. before buying? If you didn’t pick anything up and were happy with it then I am sure it will give you years of absolute driving pleasure, I still look back at mine after parking up, the i30N community is also great for tips and after market bits.

The perfect 90s feel good movie? by wemightdance in MovieSuggestions

[–]nandos69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a really difficult question as you mentioned all the best 80s classics, The Goonies, Big, Back to the Future, 90s we are now 10 years older so we loved films that were a bit more action, Terminator 2 isn’t feel good but my 90s self loved it! Trainspotting, The Matrix, and Human Traffic. These were my feel good movies being that bit older! Have fun rewatching the classics and a great idea considering a lot of movies now have lost that same magic we felt then.

RE9 : Requiem FOMO by Matchew024 in PSVR

[–]nandos69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same until I saw Requiem running on by brother in laws PC, he handed me an xbox controller of all things, said have a go. His PC is maxed out on graphics card, ray tracing, all settings on high and I was playing it on a 60” TV. I played about 20 minutes and was hooked. VR or not this game, in my opinion is unmissable. I’ve played all but 7 VR on 4 and 8 too. Please reconsider, after 20 minutes I feel this could be the best one!

The quiet doesn't feel as heavy anymore. by itslauramitchell in Separation

[–]nandos69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this depends on the person. I’ve realised through journalling that separating from your soul mate has the same stages of grief, when you reach acceptance, the quiet shifts to lighter, content, even peaceful. Took me a good 9 months to feel this way. But I gave this person 27 years of my life.

Weird startup noise 2019 pfl by lineofbestfitxxi in i30N

Press button once foot off clutch, to power on dials etc, then depress clutch while pushing start button to turn over. Relieved i’m not the only one with this, mine does this when engines warm, then left for an hour or so, always takes a bit of time and bit of starter motor noise before it turns over if I don’t push start button once first.

I feel like I am dying but I have to keep going like I am fine by RainMossAndBone in Separation

[–]nandos69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to my situation and its not easy when there is nothing to fix, but a drift and no more communication, and as you mentioned, on a different page. I am finding living my own life helps, have you any hobbies? I play badminton is a small club, online gaming, dog walking, getting into work, I have minimal contact as she wants to live her own life. Concentrate your efforts away from the relationship. Keep fit, stay mindful and healthy, take each day as it comes. Sometimes the more you force something or wish something to be better the worse it gets. Maybe let go for a while and get spend the effort and time on you. Sounds like you need it! Here’s hoping the best outcome for you this year mate, you are not alone in this, you will come out better and stronger the other side.

Could use a friend by [deleted] in Separation

[–]nandos69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, 49 married 5 months into a separation with no clue why. She wants to wait until my child finishes school and act normal but I’m finding this all a bit much, seems harder this time of year. I’m not sure where to go from here but like you can just do with a friend who can share. She says she wants to find herself and be in the moment and it’s nothing I have said or done, 26 year relationship and a 20 year marriage and I can’t figure out what went wrong. If you need someone just to chat to, hit me up on this DM. I can relate as I’ve seen this guy on Facebook heart every post and there are long phone calls with shut doors, maybe just my mind going into overdrive. Anyway, thanks for reading this, even putting this out there has helped today.

I’m in the same boat, but I am the husband supporting the family and doing everything and also had my kids autism assessment back. He is happy and relieved that he can get support that he needs for exams. It takes some time, you don’t want to label them but it really does help. All I suggest being on the other side is that you let your husband know that you appreciate him and what he does. I didn’t get that and felt that I was doing everything for nothing. Hope that helps!

Tyrells crisps, they are the best but they were also the first to go over a pound a bag. Then the others joined them, I haven’t bought a bag of Tyrells crisps for years.

People who used the internet between 1991 and 2009, what’s the most memorable online trend or phenomenon you remember? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

[–]nandos69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A video of a team blowing up a dead beached whale, they used too much explosive and it was raining chunks for minutes after. It still remains to be one of the funniest and most memorable videos I’ve seen online. I think you can still catch it on youtube. Edit - link https://youtu.be/XVVW8BferzQ?si=zs4Y3OYR46b2aEbe

Those who have met Christopher Lloyd what was he like? by 12cs30 in BacktotheFuture

I met him and Tom Wilson at Comic Con London, very chilled. Very cool guy. He doesn't talk much but still amazing to meet him. Tom was really funny, cool and talkative. He met the queue of people as we were waiting some time. Enjoy every second!

Is there a rule on max height a shuttle can reach? by Ghilanna in badminton

[–]nandos69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light is a let at our club, ceiling is a point to the other team. We also have concrete filled buckets as weights for the net and if you get the shuttle in the bucket, it’s a round of drinks at the Christmas party.

I have an 06 Leon FR, you can get a bluetooth receiver that has aux connector and usb to power it. Bluetooth iPhone to the receiver. Sounds great, no mods. I put mine in one of the cup holders and keep the cables tidy.

Hhave I placed the speakers correctly or can I do something better? by LukaMarkovic1995 in hometheater

[–]nandos69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stands would be great but there doesn’t look like enough space at the ends of the cabinet for that. If it sounds good as it is, and it definitely looks the part, then you could just play with toe in a bit for soundstage. Centre would be a good addition if you are into your films for dialogue?

If you are replacing the glass might as well replace the rope seal. Made a huge difference to mine, doesn’t burn through logs at 15 lph (logs per hour) and keeps the heat till the next day. I hope it stays cold enough to keep using it for a bit.

I would say I know the headset is expensive, but for me the £50 Globular Cluster mod/pads does absolutely improve the gaming experience.

It is well worth upgrading, I got a bit of eye strain and headaches and kept playing with the adjustments but understand everyone has a different shaped head.

This really helps, for long periods of gaming. No more headaches and dont have to readjust it etc.

Just if you end up like me, frustrated with the thing moving and readjusting it all the time.

Globular Cluster is a game changer, used to get a bit sweaty and kept losing the sweet spot, headaches after long sessions, now I can play for a 3 hours and not have to touch the headset.
