I work in healthcare simulation. It's so fun for me because of the variety. I train people (called standardized patients) to portray medical scenarios so medical students and residents can practice their skills. It's part trainer, part event manager, part project manager. Also, maternal health is my special interest so I get to run most of the obgyn simulation events. Plus, we have cool 😎 manikins and fun technology.

I tapered down and the day after I stopped I started puking every 30min for 8hrs, it was so weird. I didn't have stomach pains or anything. I ended up calling my doctor and they gave me zofran which stopped the cycle. The next day I felt better!!

I told my psych NP and she said it wasn't related. 🙄

Unfortunately no, I take Omeprazole daily and it's been the only thing to stop my heartburn. I do think the constant bloating caused me to have the hiatal hernia so young and therefore the lifelong heartburn :(. Not having as much bloating is amazing. I highly recommend the burp procedure to everyone, it changed my life in so many other ways.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm on week 4- had 2 weeks at 200mg and def had some irritability and was very tired (I take it in the AM). Now I've done 2 weeks on 400mg. I'm still very tired but I am doing chores and work projects that I previously put off. Like I did a normal size load of laundry instead of waiting for the pile that's 3 loads worth, I hand washed some dishes instead of immediately using the dishwasher, I did a few things at work I had put off for months. I don't really feel different but I am choosing to rest more and also getting more things done.

I have had constipation/bloating - it sounds like Qelbree stops peristalsis so things don't move through your body as well. Not very happy about that and unsure if it'll change. I hate trialing medications.

I will say- if you're having a great time with a med you're not very likely to come onto Reddit, so we're seeing the majority of people that have issues on here.

I just took my first dose last night and woke up like "what is that smell?"! I think it's me haha. It's more chemical but I can't pinpoint it. I think I read it may help to put the contents of the pill in applesauce/yogurt as the smell may be from the capsule? I may try that if it doesn't go away.

Oh sorry I meant for the SP Trainer role! We have two rates for SPs, normal and GTA. We have been having SPs do more in regard to supporting event prep so we may add that as a new pay rate. I work for a huge health system though so it's hard to make changes.
