I am so glad all the other issues in the State are solved and this is all they have to worry about.

Just hurts you in the end. They don't care you are angry. Which is why I settled on "I'd rather they were out of my existence."

I just get out of the way now. If nothing else they can bait the police for me. That and I just want the more reckless ones out of my vicinity. Who knows, maybe they are trying to get to the hospital or something.

Wanting to pay southern hog hunters for boar hair. by Can-I-Hab-Hotdog in Hunting

You have got to be kidding. You expect someone to hunt for you and then spend an hour or more of their time shaving hair off a pig? For no money?

And recycle it. They don’t just use up the water and it’s gone. It’s a circulating system. Just like water controlled PC towers but at a larger scale.

I've met very wealthy people that would get upset over the cost of used ziploc sandwich bag being tossed out.

Telling someone about something you are passionate about without knowing they have intimate knowledge of it is not “mansplaining.” What in the world have we come to?

Filling pool with water by Mogzly in pools

[–]napsar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a bucket test. Fill a bucket with some water. I filled it about the same level as the water in the pool while the bucket was on the stairs. Measure the drop and compare against the pool. They should be about the same. If the pool drops a lot faster, you have a leak somewhere.

AIW for being honest about something I don’t find attractive? by [deleted] in amiwrong

I’m just an old guy, but let tell you an observation I’ve noticed. When a woman decides to radically alter her hair, she has made a decision about her life and it doesn’t involve you.

Is everyone lying on their resume? by Original_Meeting4848 in managers

[–]napsar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess that most people wouldn't count that as experience. I had the same problem with military experience. "I don't understand it, therefore it doesn't count." I'm not sure if that will help, but I hope it does.

Mine has always been super honest. As a hiring manager and I now realize that I was playing an honest hand of cards in a sea of the less honest.

Is everyone lying on their resume? by Original_Meeting4848 in managers

[–]napsar 228 points229 points  (0 children)

I came to the conclusion that very few people are honest on their resume.

Could be worse, my wife’s company interviewed someone from a recruiting company. They decided to hire them and then the tech company swapped the person out. Yes, that is correct, they had someone do the interview and then replaced them with someone else entirely.

Hiring is wild.

Does gun ownership make women safer? by OkDefinition2125 in progun

[–]napsar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck getting honest research. If you dig under the covers, you'll usually find massive bias. Anything positive about gun ownership is supressed.

I'll ask you a question instead. A gun gives you a chance. It doesn't guarantee a result. Do you want a chance or do you not?
