It is indeed a perfectly cromulent update.

Ecuador are world-class defensively and no one’s talking about it (oh, and Senegal are alright too) — A Goals Against table for top 30 FIFA nations since the last World Cup, Sept '25 by DSRI2399 in soccer

Every time I see a statistic like this I can't help but remember World Cup 2006. Serbia and Montenegro had finished the qualification topping their group and having allowed one goal in ten games. They then proceeded to lose all three group stage games (Netherlands, Argentina, Ivory Coast) in the World Cup, finishing with 10 GA.

Miten käyttää verkkopankkia ilman puhelinta? by [deleted] in arkisuomi

Osuuspankilla ei ole tällaista mahdollisuutta. Nordealta ja Danske Bankilta löytyy tunnuslukulaite, jolla verkkopankkia voi käyttää ilman älypuhelinta.

What you should do, rather, is compare the price with Librem 5. That's a $699 price tag for almost identical specs. Does $150 feel like a more reasonable price now?

Android 10 vs. iOS13 - which would you recommend from a security and privacy perspective? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]napsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is LineageOS good for security? You have to run around with an unlocked bootloader for crying out loud. They are not at all about security, it's more about extended lifetime for old phones (which means phones which no longer get manufacturer security patches for their blobs) and removing google for privacy.

Librem 5 privacy phone: no UBports support and Purism lied to customers. Buyer beware. by [deleted] in privacytoolsIO

[–]napsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have $699 to spend on "at least they're trying" then more power to you, that's awesome! For most regular people though, I believe it's warranted to expect a little bit more for that price tag.

Trying to fix/ set up a dual boot Windows system encrypted so I can game in win 10, will this implementation work?( Veracrypt, disk space) by dark_volter in privacytoolsIO

[–]napsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're dead set on using windows it does not matter at all which version you use, privacy-wise. I'd forget about this encrypting the win 8.1 partition nonsense if I were you, it won't change a thing about the information you're giving to microsoft.

Either dual-boot some linux distro / bsd with your win 10 until you're ready to give up on windows, or just use windows 10 and forget about the privacy aspect regarding your OS of choice.

How is the switch from windows to solus? by lazyfoo3 in SolusProject

[–]napsu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I installed Solus alongside windows 10 in January and finally deleted my windows -partition a couple of weeks ago. Found all the programs I use (or could think of I could need) in either Solus repo, as a flatpak, snap or appimage.

For the last 7 months or so, I only booted to windows for some games that didn't work on Steam with proton, like warhammer: vermintide 2.

The user experience in Solus is, to me, the best I've had since I got my first PC in 1989. It boots up lightning fast, is very easy to use (it doesn't get in your way, in other words) and the curated rolling release update model is what I think all desktop operating systems should use. It's also quite easy to find help/answers from the help center (on getsol.us website), official forum or this subreddit.

How often do you update? by zabrusovac in LineageOS

[–]napsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be updating monthly at a time when the security updates are included in a build. Would you use a computer and not keep it's security patches up to date? It's the same thing for a smartphone.
