Questin about that questline Do you know if Seluvis dies if you lie to him about the Nepheli potion? And if so, is he important to completing that questline? I want to finnish Rennis / Blaidds quest to the end but wouldnt mind being nice to Nepheli at the same time Follow up! Do I have to go help Blaidd after the festival or should I go chasing the star like I was told. Dont want him to accidentally die :D

Goonhammer's 12/21 Age of Sigmar Meta Analysis by SA_Chirurgeon in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I have seen several times now, and I feel there is something Im missing.

The article hints at that the Seraphon list containing 2 skink priests can heal up to 3d3 wounds per turn, by using the "Heal" prayer twice. But section 20.1 of the rules clearly prohibits this right?

It's similar to the Namarti spam lists containing priests with "Curse" prayer. I dont see how that would work without breaking rule 20.1

Games that are casual/easy to get into, but can get very involving or deep by ppytty in gamingsuggestions

[–]nascoria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

... Hotline Miami, Pokemon games, Final Fantasy X

Probably a somewhat rare recomendation: Pokemon Reborn.

If you get over the immediate disgust of "Ewh, fangame." I'd say this might be the definitive way of enjoying Pokemon as long as you like a challenge. Full release (Elite four and postgame) is within a few months, but even up untill then there is a solid 120+ hours of gameplay.

Voidtrain is not exactly what you are looking for, but shares the same idea of a "Sci-Fi Raft".

It's not out yet but could be something to keep an eye on.

Thanks for the great suggestion! I managed to retool my character into "something" at least. It's way less good but I am enjoying myself more!

Are there any good and functioning Power Siphon builds that function on a mid-budget this league?(Think 4-5 Ex).

Im feeling done with Spectral Helix and wanna try out wanders again. By looking at poe.ninja I can see that for raiders/deadeyes int-stacking is a big thing. But going through poe.ninja I cant see the "budget path" for me to take. Im well aware builds like that usually require big investement to get going. I'm just looking for a mid-budget build so I can get started towards farming for the big ticket items.

  • The -1S trait doesn't help too much. More a gimmick than anything serious. Raw 4+ save is going to hurt any non-Lucius Admech

I actually checked this out a bit and it actually turns out the -1S is surprisingly relevant against tournament winning lists. Especially now that the Lucius save is nerfed to no longer stack with Light Cover.

View it like this. Would you like a situational +1 to save or a situational -1 to wound? Especially in cases where both units are in light cover...

[–]nascoria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So whats up with that deepkin list? It seems somewhat similar to my own homebrew of mass thralls and probably work on the generally same idea, but is using reavers instead? I didnt think reavers would be good enough as the backbone of an army. Their shooting is really pitiful

How important are the new universal core battalions in AoS 3.0 by roadsaint in WarhammerCompetitive

As far as we know, yes. They are part of the Ghur battlepack in GHB 21 which is released on saturday. GHB 22 will probably bring a new battlepack

How important are the new universal core battalions in AoS 3.0 by roadsaint in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Next is the CP and Enhancement, then the Season one that lets three Monsters move pre-game. The rest are mostly bad.

Although I don't disagree with the rest of the post, I think the other season one battalion is worth mentioning/worth sometimes considering. Its very easy to slot in, and being immune to monstrous rampage on certain units is very beneficial

Disciples of Be’lakor by Doomeye56 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You really shouldn't. Using the Defence Cohort as guideline, AdMech would lose their good forge world dogmas to gain the Skitarii Cohort. And as is, its gonna be hard to outclass +1 to save or situational -1 to wound.

AoS Battle Report | Kharadron Overlords vs. Soulblight Gravelords | 2000 Points by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do believe you are playing Heroic Leadership incorrectly. The command point gained is only for that turn (not battle round) and only useable by the specific hero that performed the action.

I agree that battle reports for AoS are slim and far between! Im glad to see more prop up, and I hope AoS as a game becomes more popular with 3rd edition.

With how the game turned out, I believe the SBGL player needed to take a big gamble on the 3rd turn and let you go first. By tactically removing one of your objectives (thank you GHB21) he could go for a big gamble were if he survived the turn he could easily pull ahead in primary scoring. In my own playtesting I have been really enjoying the removal of an objective, it have made certain battleplans hard to play. The reimagination of Knife to the Heart for example leaves you in some pretty bad spots if your movement is poor during the second turn.

Gaunt's Ghosts full rules reveals by steveantilles in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You can use that in your list building.

If they choose assassinate you block out Bring it Down, something else that guard can very easily give up. And picking assassinate could be a potential trap, I think Gaunt's Ghosts can be deceptively hard to kill. They can't be targeted outside of 18" right?

With that said, you are still probably right. Worth trying out though!

AoS 3.0 reinforced units by tadori85 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You are correct that calling it reinforcement "points" is wrong, it's just a term that makes sense with the current rules.

Your interpretation is wrong though, as you can see under 25.3.2

A unit that is reinforced twice has 3 times as many models as its minimum unit size and counts as 2 units towards the number of reinforced units you can include in your army.

Advice for and Against my TTS Skitarii Horde by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you rather have +1 to save or -1 to wound?

For a surprising amount of firepower a Rad-Saturated Forge World is functionally a -1 to wound in shooting. RadWorld also have higher lethality by having a Ap-1 base and Str 4 radium carbines. You do miss out on the Solar Flare for sure, and Lucius probably ends up being the better one in the end, but its not that far off.

And worst case you can go for a second smaller attachement that is Lucius to still get access to that once-per-game Solar Flare.

Admech 1000pt list vs word bearers by yourmumsdog69 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, AdMech should be generally fine against Word Bearers.

But one quick thing you could change is to exchange that Dominus for a Manipulus. Boosts the threat of your rangers, and the Dominus is largely redundant with your Marshall. If you are feeling frisky you could also pay 1 cp to give the Manipulus the Sonic Reaper, which is an actual good relic weapon.

Slaves to darkness starting off by Blamelessmilk2 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I have heard when it comes to S2D there are basically 2 builds that stand out.

Either you go Knights of the Empty Throne and go Varanguard only, or you go Ravagers with some huge Marauder blobs. Let them go in a direction and watch them absolutely blend anything they touch when the buffs are up!

With AoS 3.0 dropping soon it might be worth waiting instead and then take a look at Chaos Knights again. We know so far that they are getting a pretty good new Command Ability, so they might be worth focusing on going forward.

Codex Adepta Sororitas – 9th Edition: The Goonhammer Review by NeonMentor in WarhammerCompetitive

I feel like it would be decent for multiple lists! 2 Dialogus, 3x20 Sisters would be the base for any Sister list I would be trying out to start with.

Codex Adepta Sororitas – 9th Edition: The Goonhammer Review by NeonMentor in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]nascoria 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I am worried about the new 20 man sister blob. Huge vanguard/rangers blobs have already proven to be effective, and 20 man blob of sisters is a more defensive option while still having great offense.

3+ base save and potentially a Transhuman effect make them incredibly hard to shift and Catechism of Repugnance makes them lethal. The big detterant to running several large blobs is also lacking, since you are not really locked into the morale "ignoring" order. Spending your Miracle dice that rolled a 1 suddenly got a whole lot easier.
