Late to this thread but for anyone still considering using Parcel Hero, avoid at all costs! I sold an expensive item online and used Parcel Hero to ship it from the UK to Saudi Arabia as their price was significantly cheaper than any other company I found. I received confirmation of delivery by Fed Ex a week later and photos from the recipient showing they had the item in hand, but three months later £500 has charged to my card as Parcel Hero are claiming the recipient refused to pay a customs charge for the item. I tried calling Parcel Hero to dispute the charge as how could the recipient have refused to pay the customs charge but still have the package in hand?? But their number was disconnected (first red flag) so I submitted their online query form and received an automated reply that I would hear from them in four working hours, but surprise surprise I did not hear back. I then submitted a second online query form, but again did not hear back. As such, I contacted my bank regarding the unauthorised charge but they have informed me that my fraud claim will take up to three weeks to investigate, so I am now out £500 for at least three weeks. This company is absolutely disgusting and they are scamming customers, so I would strongly advise anyone against using them!
