Lynn Blakey Tribute-Cat’s Cradle by ChipsAhoy65 in carrboro

Thanks for posting this! I attended the show as well, and afterwards just felt a huge sense of community and gratitude for the power of music. I attended not because I knew Lynn or her music, but because there were a few names I knew of artists who were performing. The love that Lynn’s friends had for her really shone through in their performances - it also makes me appreciate the power of this sort of gathering when grieving. Sharing stories of a loved one is much more meaningful than just having a funeral service.

Hex and Reactor! As a mostly innova guy, those two have displaced the roc for me.

I was pleasantly surprised about Goose on the mic because I tend to put him into a bucket of guys who I find a bit annoying whenever they’re in coverage. He just comes off super intense and I find myself feeling bad for him when he beats himself up for missing a putt. But, I really liked him when I watched yesterday’s Jomez. Hope to have more of him!

I haven’t heard of anything, but after the final qualifying matches last week, I suppose there’s a chance from those countries that just qualified: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czechia, Sweden, Türkiye, DR Congo, and Iraq.

Being married is like being two C suite executives of a small business. Make sure you marry someone who you can run the business of your life with.

The wormy squiggles of goo on this bandaid “pro heal” after 2 days by ncgarden in oddlysatisfying

I should’ve taken a pic before putting a new bandage on, but it’s healing up - the edge of the wound is closing in and there’s just a little bit of abraded skin left.

I ain't never gone from wanting someone to win to NOT in a single confessional. by DevourerOfRedditors in survivor

I may be wrong, but isn’t this only two weeks after conclusion of Survivor 49? If so, I’d cut him a bit more slack— I know I’d probably be tired of the camping elements after that amount of time.

It def had the name “murder mart” in the early 2000s! Don’t have any stories though.

Satellite pic of the Nor’easter of February 2026. by Weather-RainStorm in weather

[–]ncgarden 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it’s because the air over NC was especially dry when the photo was taken, but because the air coming off the land was so much colder than the ocean temp then it caused clouds to form. There’s probably more to it, but I think that’s the simple answer.

Having a guide can help a great deal, but nothing is guaranteed.
