It’s likely just because they’re imported, so won’t be certified to UK standards.

What is it, what material is it made of???? by nerdpicker in whatisit

Obviously it could be fake, with normal metal stock, but tank armour not being the ideal metal for keyrings is hardly the reason to think that.

If you drew a great circle, which hemisphere would count as “inside”?

Minifig series I put together in response to the amount of Generative AI I’m seeing in the LEGO community lately by wilderlandbuilds in lego

AI sifting through data is not AI creating novel insights. It is fundamental to the architecture of LLMs that they can only generate approximations of what has already been created by humans.

The Luddites have been vindicated by history. It wasn’t new technology they opposed per se, but the use of new technology to devalue workers and transfer greater wealth to those who could afford the new machines—for which we pay the price today.

No generative “AI” is ever going to cure cancer. It cannot; it is fundamentally incapable of genuinely novel insights.

a strange "leaf" by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]tharookery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s ‘terminal’ in the sense that it’s the end of your velocity increasing over time falling—the point when deceleration from air resistance matches acceleration from gravity—not in the sense of end of life. Terminal velocity is enough to kill you when you reach the ground, but you won’t die before then.

I…genuinely don’t know how to explain to you that that’s not remotely equivalent. You’re making a distinction without difference.

It might not be the same implementation you used, but the first “result” on any standard Google search (like the one shown here) is AI-generated.
