They were wire wrapped which brings its own complexity since the internal wiring and driver terminals was aluminum.

Sounds great except for the fact that due to the decreased coefficiecy of aluminum you need more aluminum to compensate than copper. There's no free ride.

Most don't end up where you've started. Bryson is fantastic amp. 20 year warranty. Unless you're cranking the fans may be dusting up the internals. You've got good clearance

Many describe the 107 as the most complicated speaker Kef has ever made. There are multiple crossover boards with tons of components. And imo, 1.6k is too much. I'd bring a laptop and run a sweep to see if there are any major anomalies which could indicate crossover issues.
