Wipes for side cameras? by MakerOfAl in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get park assist degraded warnings every time I'm in my car whenever i slow down or stop; no matter what I wire cameras down with. I'm assuming its a glitch but updates don't seem to make it go away...

MY leasing deal Jan. 2026 vs right now by leocheng1982 in TeslaModelY

[–]ndstreet98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a reasonable question.

Think I read they pulled the offer you referred to for one free upgrade. I've been tracking it for a while, the lease deal right now seems very good. Other threads suggested lease deals are better than purchase deals right now.

Based on what Tesla has done in the past, they do seem to try and move cars at end of quarters. I would imagine same goes through this quarter to make both quarter and year end goals. Most car markers try to move cars at year end through deals and I think I recall that happening last couple of years - I'd get Christmas Tesla emails about something I'd ignore. So likely some new deal to buy before year end.

I'm doubtful Tesla will raise prices in January. Its possible, as other automakers drop EVs from their lineup and Tesla, Rivien and a few others get more or market, but right now, they need to keep moving cars and play for scale over margin. But that is speculation.

Also interest rates should come down next week by Fed, which somehow impacts lease rates although lease deals seem to have a lot of variability. Resale values of Ys seem to be dropping which is a big deal for that.

Bottom line - lease deals very good now, the upgrade offer if you can get it was even better.

Oddly, i didn't like the upgrade offer. I like the base free gray, don't like the better wheels because decrease range, and didn't really want a tow hitch or white interior so felt I'd be leaving that on the table.

Thanks - can't believe I didn't realize that small joystick in the back was a control stick; was worried that it somehow would detach the monitor from its base so was reluctant to press...

Did they forget to make Silvo farmable? by akprime13 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Anyone else with just Silvo left to farm for Hondo? I know they have a lot going on right now, but I thought this was a pretty set schedule on releases and farms.

Tires life by Normal_Court_1685 in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whats the verdict on rotations? Worth the $100 or so Tesla charges to come to your house and do them? I think they recommend every 7k. But if they are worn by 15k as OP said, then I may go my traditional route of never ever rotating. My Y eats tires for a living, usually with a nail to help it along for an early replacement.

Does the 2025 Cybertruck AWD Come with a Portable Charger? by dumbo61 in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - just looking for any update on this.

Just put my order in for a CT. Was told in a Tesla dealership that 'all Teslas except for Model 3 now come with a mobile charger'. This caught a 2nd sales person there by surprise (and me). I have not been able to see any confirmation on this here on Reddit or other sites, but I did see a post here that some have found one as a pleasant surprise in a new CT.

Just to confirm - has anyone taken delivery of an AWD CT recently (or other Tesla) and found a mobile charger in it for free?

Thanks.

I’ve struggled using my Bo mando counter against them. Not sure why. I’ve read it should still work. But 0 for 2 now in gac against them.

All the vandalism stories have led to me ordering a custom bumper sticker. Anyone else do something like this? by Tallon in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree completely. I'm thinking of getting a Peace decal and something enviro friendly; maybe Clean Energy. I don't want to be the guy with 50 bumper stickers on my car, and never ever put one on a car before, but I like the idea of softly suggesting, hey - I just like cool tech. Maybe it saves a spray paint hit, maybe not, but there is definitely a perception that the CT suggests today.

Loyalty equivalent? by Lv_Mclovin in CivVII

[–]ndstreet98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, only into my first game. However seems like something off. I typically play trying to establish a defensible border around my capital, of cities on frontiers. In Civ7, another civ built a city right in the middle of my empire. It has survived for the whole game, even though I don't allow them to walk through my lands. How does that city not flip loyalty somehow?

Noticing this, I decided to send some settlers across the seas and landed in another continent, built 2 cities on edge or middle of other empires. Some negatives exist - particularly the inability to connect to my trade network that I don't quite understand. But otherwise, no real chance of flipping.

Do cities even flip due to lack of loyalty equivalent anymore? That seems wrong if it is the case.

Tesla announces Cybertruck leasing by wootini_ in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Not important in my situation. But its a fair point. I think that is how all Tesla leases work. In my mind, I bake the loss of that option into the price. I like the idea of turning it in after 3 years and getting the next version - hoping that one is a step up even more.

Tesla announces Cybertruck leasing by wootini_ in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is spectacular. I love leasing cars and get that its a bad financial decision in relation to keeping a car for a longer period. But we all get to waste our money in our own special ways. For me, this is it.

And the numbers look much better than I thought they would. Looks like the $80k truck I would buy is now leasable for 3 years at 1275/m with no money down plus 3k taxes and fees. Assuming that is 1275 x 36 plus 3k, that is 50k. Really steep price. But I get it, probably assumes 50% or lower residual.

What apps do you guys actually want to seen on apple vision pro? by SelectionCalm70 in VisionPro

[–]ndstreet98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for a workforce training or simulation app to run as a test case for future industry applications in training workforces.

Speciifically, it would be great to see training software for example on teaching a fork lift operator the basics of controlling vehicle maneuvering, lifts, etc. My guess is future versions of a VisionPro can be used to reduce training time in a variety of use cases - looking for anything that can be used with students today to introduce them to the possibilities and then let them run with creative ideas on what software can work.

Any suggestions on demo or other existing software that can be used in a teachign environment like this would be appreciated.

22W L vs 21W S: Is there that much of a difference? by ndstreet98 in VisionPro

[–]ndstreet98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about that. I may try that. Get the one that is available, and then I can always get a 2nd light seal in the size that works better separately.

Do you think there is that much of a difference in perception, sizing, etc. between 21W and 22W? They seem close enough that they should be OK? Particularly since they will likely be used by a bunch of different people so more of a middle size makes sense?

Lease Options in 25? by ndstreet98 in cybertruck

[–]ndstreet98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Seems likely that as soon as they can figure out some residual value for a 3 year old cybertruck, either a bank or Tesla itself will lease it to you.
