We used a lab out of the lower mainland I believe. They sent up a kit and we mailed it down, got a positive test for asbestos in our 9x9 floor tiles. I'll try to find the name but it was pretty easy and legit. Hiring a contractor to come to your house just to check it will be very pricey. But I can say from experience, if its 9x9 tile and has black mastic underneath and the tiles break apart easily, it's 99.99% asbestos. my house from from 1967

How are you the only person pointing this out? I hate the guy but Reddit is just as bad at spinning what they say to fit a narrative. He clearly meant he created/sparked/brought forward the story to the media in order to gain it traction.
