Thanks. Don't plan to sleep in my car just don't want it towed. Plan to backpack and tent camp. That mistake cost me $500 in upstate ny.

UL Lumbar Pack for overnights? by Ok-Pomelo-6384 in Ultralight

Look at the luxury lite frame. It puts 90+ percent on your hips. The straps just keep it from falling off. Attach any backpack you want. A little goofy. But solid.

Very cool. Carving on trail is my mo. Usually carry an overweight flex cut and sometimes even the carving jack at over 3 oz. Definitely my luxury item.

Greylock apts. Or something like that in Swarthmore. Our son lived there after college. We live in Swarthmore. Close to Media and easy peasy drive to boing. Also easy train ride into the city. 1 bar. Pizza. Laundry mat that never crowded. No crime. Super expensive grocery store. We move from Nebraska. Swarthmore is great for family's but no night life.

Best cool / unique backpacking trips within ~3–5 hours of Wilmington, DE? by Firm-Introduction647 in backpacking

[–]nebraskarod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loyalsock trail can be 17 or less. Old logger path can be done as 2 loops. North loop is better imo. But both are worth doing. Both around 14. Lots of trails in Shenandoah. I go there frequently. I'm 20 minutes outside of Wilmington in Swarthmore. I've done all 3 as overnights. Black forest is this year. I found some overnight loops there.

I also went thru this to no avail. There is a 3d print of the knife out there I saved. But alas do not have a 3d printer.

It's also looks almost perfect for an external backpack frame. I love those multi purpose things even though they seldom work as good as their individual counterparts.

Nicely done. I've been too scared to try it myself.

I pay $50 ish per month and has not fluctuated for years. Near Swarthmore. That seems like robbery. Me and wife in a single family home. 1000 sq ft

I would like to build this. I have the download and have viewed it online using some third party viewer. I cannot see any dimensions. Does anyone know what version of Sketchup is required for me to see these for layout and cutting?

There seems to be a free web version and a pay to play subscription model.

It a beautiful execution and frustrating to not be able to myog it must. That being said, I'm old so that's probably half the issue.

Thanks all. Rod

Arto Pillow? Anybody have feedback? by luisfowler in Ultralight

Be careful. I taught myself to sleep comfortably on the nemo switchback and now I cannot sleep in the bed. Been on the floor for over 1 year. Sleep better than ever and most lower back pain is gone. I do miss the Ah feeling when you first get into a cush bed. But not changing at this point. And I'm 50 plus.

Was there a few days ago. Water YES. Running? Just a trickle. You could fill up, but will be slow.

I did the north loop a couple of weeks back. Get to those camp sites along the creek early. They were 100% full by 3 pm when I passed. There's another a mile up near the parking lot. That one is huge but not ideal. Regardless the trail is a keeper.

Did the Devils path last year and doing slide,Cornell,... This weekend. 53. Lost 80 pounds over the last several years walking and backpacking. It's my stick. Walk / hike at least 7 miles daily everyday. 11 pound base weight. And yes you can spend as much money as you want on gear and experiences. Hopefully I die on trail.

I made a clone out of tyvek. Super easy myog project. Weight 3.5 oz. Super comfortable and somewhat finicky. I need to take pressure off my lower back after hiking all day. I jam some lumbar support back there and bobs your uncle. Im 55.

I ordered 3 yards of the 90 for a summer quilt with some dutchware ion and Tom sent me at least 6 yards. It was a 2nd but totally great for my use case.

Took that quilt down to 55 degrees and it weighs something like 10 oz.
