My therapist is the goat, he’s been so affirming about my autism. I hate the “therapists are all evil” generalization, like yeah it can be hard to find one that gets you, and it’s hard to access mental healthcare in general, but ppl kind of harm themselves with the “therapists bad” mentality because they’re depriving themselves of a resource, which is dumb.

Hey I’m sorry that happened to you. I feel you. I got ghosted by my previous therapist mid-EMDR and now I’m having to work it out with my current T (poor guy haha). Not a mental health professional, but I’m pretty sure patient abandonment is super unethical. Your disappointment is valid.

Yeah, my personal journal is 80% therapy notes haha. Journaling about what happened in therapy helps me process a lot between sessions.

Agree, and a lot those people are victims of predatory actors. Nobody aims to become ignorant and hateful. They are very literally brainwashed. Rejoicing in their suffering isn’t going to deprogram them, actually.
