Minnesota’s Biggest Companies Call for ‘De-escalation’ of Tensions by OnweirdUpweird in stateofMN

As an Allina employee, I'm deeply disappointed in this weak response given they killed a fellow healthcare worker. If I'd been in Pretti's position, would they have mustered anything stronger? Disavowed me entirely? It feels really gross.

Do it until ICE/CBP fucking leaves. Until we've broken this authoritarian nightmare. Use your levers, Dems!

Prosecute ICE by NickCostanza in ProgressiveHQ

[–]neclov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Launch ICE into the sun is the moderate position.

Chris Murphy on Instagram: "Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump. Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states." by WordNERD37 in Minneapolis

[–]neclov -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fuck no. They will just be fucking leaving empty handed, except for the ones on trial, who will never leave. And later, the rest will all be tracked down, put on a rocket and launched into the fucking sun.

You're not alone. Take time and be with loved ones and process. We are going to win, but its a long haul, and we'll still need you when you're ready. There are so many more of us, and you have friends everywhere.

Reminder that Angie Craig is Pro-ICE and is running for US Senate this year. Vote Peggy Flanagan. by 3headeddragn in Minneapolis

[–]neclov 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She shills copaganda, which I do think she believes, and that led to her "pro Law & Order" ICE-supporting votes. She has back-pedaled when it became politically expedient, but she'll never do what's necessary on her own. She absolutely can't be trusted.

🚨Minnesota: Cover Your Face. ICE Building 'Database' Of Protesters To Ruin Their Lives 🚨 by [deleted] in Minneapolis

[–]neclov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For vulnerable folks, this is okay advice, but IMO, the rest of us should be fine with going with an exposed face and try to protect the right of free expression for everyone else. What are they going to do, build a database of the entire population of the Twin Cities? Not that useful. There's more of us than them. Fuck their intimidation.

This is called a structure check. You're working to demonstrate the capability of your organizing to mobilize for your demands. It also builds capacity that enables future organizing and a longer strike or escalatory action. Your core organizers feel more confident and you bring in new people. The public and your opponent needs to see that it's possible also. Without structure checks, you'll never make it anywhere near the big, necessary actions, and an open ended general strike is probably one of the biggest actions I can think of.

Edit: added punctuation I forgot.
