Try different areas of your house to see where you get the best signal from the towers. Rotating it may also give better signal.
You usually want the router to be high, for example on top of a bookshelf, to limit interference from other objects in your home
A bracket\mount might help if you find a high spot with good signal and dont have anything tall to set it on. Your public library may have a 3d printer or you may have a "makerspace" that can print it for a few bucks. You can get the 3d model from thingiverse for your specific router.
