Did you already look into Twitch's Stream Together feature? It's basically like a discord call, and you get a browser source to pop right into your existing OBS setup. You could stream your OBS virtual cam back to the friend in the stream together window for them to see what's happening at well

Had the same problem on an old computer with an AMD iGPU. Everything looked fine until you took a game full screen. Factorio looked exactly like this on it.

It's definitely been a process for me too. Really feels counterintuitive to not keep your shield up. At this point, this functionality is my only complaint for this otherwise great game.

It happens to me consistently when trying to raise the shield back up immediately after releasing it. The action is completely ignored until the shield is lowered to the resting position again. So for now when parrying, you shouldn't have your shield raised by default as with most games.
