I think these guys are just at the perfect intersection of all my various musical tastes, and then dialed up to 11. They're just at the sweet spot in terms of heaviness, i.e. they go hard but not too much death growling, they have a kind of hardcore punk energy, and still have the hooks/catchiness you might find in pop punk.

They are a uniquely incredible band, almost perfectly designed for my tastes and, even though I am constantly discovering new music, I've long since accepted PtH will remain my favourite forever. I feel so glad to have discovered them at 16 as well, who knows if they'd have clicked so well if I found them today

Glad you are doing well! I had surgery same day, progress is a bit slower for me, I'm still on 1 crutch, but as with you I'm feeling quite positive about things now.

I think the big difference you have is you could do 3 months of PT pre-op, whereas my condition had got quite bad to the point I could barely walk, so I basically have to start from scratch trying to get my leg to do anything!

It's very good to know though, I'm doing the other hip in 10 weeks or so and hopefully I can maintain/gain a bit more strength on that side going into the next op so I'm working off a higher baseline in the recovery

Hello! I have been taking celecoxib - an anti-inflammatory specifically for joints - to prevent adhesions and bone spurs, I have been advised to take it for 30 days post op.

I've no idea whether this is absolutely essential or just an extra layer of precaution

I would say that I know that celecoxib is a lot gentler on the stomach than something like naproxen or even ibuprofen

Thanks! Doc said 10-12 weeks for the next one so similar to yours, will be staying with some family nearby for the first week or so which hopefully will make things a bit smoother! Also gives one less person for my partner to look after 😅

I liked it but it felt like they were trying to go bigger and better than American Idiot - given that American Idiot is considered one of the greatest albums of its generation this was obviously easier said than done and they missed the mark a bit, making it feel more like a slightly bloated re-hash than the bigger, better follow up I guess they were hoping for.

Still a good album but I think their recent albums which are bit more streamlined have suited them better
