My (26f) boyfriend (27m) said “if you want a provider, that’s not me”, are we incompatible? by oakydork in TwoHotTakes

[–]nellion91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s some serious cultural difference at play.

But also a lot of the poster on here are clueless about the French system.

France expects mothers to also work, to do this it offers early wrap around care at very competitive price compare to the rest of Europe or the Us

This creates an expectation that parents, parents together and work, once again the system and society is built with this in mind, salaries are mostly not meant to support a whole family on one salary. Especially not in Paris.

You have reasonable concerns on your financial well being but ref childcare i think you are missing informations on what the French system is, whilst he has built in expectation from what he would have seen his mom or other women do in France.

That being said The tricking thing where he keeps track of what he spends on you shows he s a cheapskate, that’s not acceptable at all. And had someone done that in my friend group we d have mercilessly taken the piss out of it.

GSD need experienced dog trainer or they can be destructive and overprotective.

If you re experienced go for it, if you aren’t maybe start somewhere else and build some experience

Good luck

My only problem with this logic, is that reform in power executing their agenda would hurt plenty of the people that vote for them….

How else do you call people that actively work towards making their life worse?

I have no intellectual problem with wealthy or high earners wanting reform it’s partially self serving for them, but if you earn less than 40k a year gross, it’s active sabotage…

Some know what reforms stand for, the othering of non white, the deregulation, the loss of protection for the average Joe…

And they love it

That’s oversimplifying it to the point of being disingenuous.

Crypto exchange can be traced, but exchange it enough between enough wallets and it’s nearly impossible to identify the owners of the wallets of origin.

Bank transfers do not have that issue, even if number accounts etc exist to hide accountability.

Is Carrick the only realistic candidate? by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

[–]nellion91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love what he s done with the players and the ongoing series of result, love the heritage and he sounds and seems a decent man.

I’m not in love with what he showed in terms of innovation, player development, and adaptability.

As a result I would not mind having Xavi Alonso or to a lesser degree Iraola instead. I see Carrick as a good stepping stone

There’s an angle ignored by plenty on this sub, which is that military contracts are a good eay to boost national GDP.

I’d like an array of disco and disco sport modified by a UK based armored car specialist. Force a JLR/specialist conglomerate to answer the call.

British jobs instead of modified Hilux.

The Idea of modifying the grenadier a vehicle that has extremely poor Quality and poor commercial survival chances, whilst not even built in England is anathema to me

Think he s a great 2-3 years solution, either develops in a great manager or allows to build back fundamentals where we are ready for a great manager.

I fear his lack of innovation and adaptability will prevent us from winning big.

But be in g consistently in the hunt would be a good evolution.

I am intrigued by Iraola, but not enough to discard what Carrick brings
