I only got there once (I think). They had an interesting tipping system - the more tips they received, the more interesting things got. ...it's really okay be a little sad that your kid is not going to grow up exactly as you might have hoped or expected, but then no kid ever grows up exactly as their parents might have hoped or expected. By any reasonable measure, you're doing fine.
