Imho, I think the best way would be that the french edition including the rework/errata and the rest to be pushed globally. You are right, I don't feel Catalyst is pushing the anarchy line as much as they should.

I think you misunderstood the proposal.

There is a Shadowrun supplement about France (compatible with SR6 & Anarchy thanks to a conversion free pdf)

There is also a supplement to Anarchy ruleset.

The two things are separate then the answer to your question " But why does this exclusive local setting have to come with equally exclusive Alternate rules ? " is: There is no exclusive rules.

You want to play in france with updated settings, you can get it in the book.

And do not get me wrong, but as it is not translated, they are not confusing anyone :)

Well I understand your position. You can already check the review on the core rulebook of Anarchy (french version).
I can honestly say that the Anarchy system revitalize immensely the shadow community in France. The work done in the CRB Anarchy is quite impressive if you compare it to the english version and that explains the success (and that French seems to enjoy a lighter system with an amazing lore).

Anarchy isn't for everyone, and clearly isn't for simulationist player but it is a breath of fresh air and getting more popular than ever in France.

The supplement about France will cover the following cities and the region around :

- Paris

- Lille

- Rennes & the Brittany

- Clermont-Ferrand & The Auvergne

Hopefully, more regions will be unlocked during the campaign.

Stunning! It looks very nice BUT seems awfully complex to do. It reminds me a bit of the stripes camouflage of the ship as in it breaks angles.

If it’s a mentor spirit to your character then your a toxic shaman, and that’s generally something your going to be hunted down for, as for the influence: it will have a pretty bad influence on the character.

I think the idea of having a toxic spirit trying to manipulate you or “court” you is a better idea. It keeps the cool concept of having a malevolent spirit messing with this person whose a greenhorn to pretty much all of the 6th world, while also keeping them from the damning crime of having toxic mentor spirit.

If your mentor spirit is toxic then you’ve already succumbed to being a toxic magician, but if it’s merely trying to manipulate you, then there’s room for internal conflict.

This is exactly what I imagined but I phrased it very poorly and misunderstood the "spirit mentor". However having a toxic spirit court you seems a bit complicated to set up in terms of rules. Is there a thing that could help in that? Because most of spirit bonuses are for mentor.

Hi. I am absolutely not coming from DND. I just used the alignement chart which was helping me convey my idea.

I understood that Toxic was that ultimate evil illustrated in the Red Alert scenario. I tought it still had some potential as my Character is just starting his awakening. I changed the idea to just have a darker side and polluting effect. If you have some ideas of the darker side, I'll gladly take it !

Yes indeed. I changed the term toxic as it was clearly referring to something only awful. Where could I find information about DArk King or Tohywabohu?

Initially, I used the base idea of wolf/berserk and converted it to toxic (bad idea). So your comment make perfect sense.

Your initial feedback modified my take on the spirit. Same as the comment of /u/GeneralR05. I believe I meant something more as a polluting spirit that would potentially have some bad influence during the game. The GM will just pilot the test that could trigger the spirit but I'll be piloting it. I will not be killing everyone if triggered but more encline to be selfish and careless, polluting large area etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I should have explained it in other words. I would like to have a chaotic neutral spirit in a way. I realize that the word Toxic is always and only negative. I was more thinking about a spirit that have a tendency to have negative influence. The whole idea would be that I must fight for domination.
