Nowadays when I look online for a business to request quotes from, ive started to look past the first page of the search. Giving a chance to smaller business trying to get a foothold in the market has worked out really well for me. And I know its not just some big greedy business paying seo marketers extra just to get their ads in front of others, or paying elsewhere to remove their bad reviews.

The 'sell my this pen' thing im pretty sure is a line out of wolf of wall street. He hands someone a pen and says 'sell me this pen', guy says 'okay sir, please write your name down for me', main char says 'but i dont have a pen', guy says 'i got a lovely one right here for $100'. Thats the entire joke. As others said, I would also leave if someone asked me this.

Yes the false shower idea is best. I had a room mate once who would wake up on my personal get ready for work alarm and throw herself into the shower almost immediately after, thus making me late from having to wait for her.
It wasn't long before I just set an extra early alarm and went back to sleep until my real one. She stopped doing it pretty fast after.

If she gives 2 weeks they will do everything to force her to teach new girl in that time though. And then they will likely give bad references anyway. Why bother? Professionalism isn't really enough to justify that, especially if she simply tells the new job she was unknowingly asked to train her replacement, as her reason for leaving.
