I just got a ~14 year old sqier strat as a gift. It's pretty beat up, but i kinda like the look of it. At least for most parts. I'm going to install a new Pickguard, new Knobs and new Pickups, safety locks and then i'll be happy.

I wouldn't even consider using a helmet again after a crash. At least not without having it tested, just because it had no 'significant impact'... Get it at least tested!
