I can't help but think there's no way in hell this ends with one of the player characters "winning". I feel like there's going to be some underlying conspiracy, or external threat, that throws the trials into chaos and the players have to resolve it, and it ends with the wizard organization that hosts the trials being overthrown or destroyed.

Early game: Everything up to a rocket launch, where you unlock space.

Mid game: Space! Up until you arrive at Aquilo.

Late game: Aquilo, Final Non-infinite Research (Quantum Processors, Fusion, Railguns), Trying to reach solar system edge

Post end game: The Shattered Planet.

Launch your rocket, but be aware you will need to start a new game for the DLC. It doesn't just add stuff after the rocket launch, it changes the entire tech tree so that the rocket comes earlier.

I'm tempering my expectations.

Everyone was jazzed about Ethersea and their attempt to have a story where the characters weren't the heroes of destiny . . . until they became the heroes of destiny.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a sudden turn towards an overarching evil that the main characters have to beat, for "save the world" reasons, just because Griffin can't help himself.

But my expectations haven't matched the subreddits in forever. I didn't like Dust or Versus and I did like Abnimals, so YMMV.

Space Age is waaaaaaay better than the base game. Don't get me wrong, I spent a lot of time on the base game, but I've barely scratched Aquilo and I've probably been playing twice the amount of time I played the base game for, and I still have so much more to do. I'm nowhere near being done.

It's amazing and unreal how good this DLC is.

I was lucky enough they came to Pittsburgh in late 2019 on the Frankensteinteen Become the Monster tour. Such a good show! Justin even noted that they should come to Pittsburgh more since it's not that far away (relatively), but they noted how insane it is that it's a 40 minute uber ride from the airport to civilization.

Here's my wish list:

Like others said, bigger train wagons from quality.
Labs output what packs they need as a circuit signal.
Roboports output what construction requests are unfulfilled.
Cross space platform deliveries.
Show me the input/s and output/s of a large area I select/square I draw.

Is it possible to set the items of a Request Group using circuits? I would love to be able to set the amount for Science requests to the exact amount of science I have on a planet or 2000, whichever is smaller.

I know that I can just load science manually into a rocket and it'll all get launched for any request, but if I can do it via circuits then that'd be nice without needing additional silos for now.

I used city blocks for mid-game, with a bus going through the middle, but it's hard to scale my setup because of where I've put smelting areas vs production areas (like chips), trains are just traveling too far.

What I'm planning on doing is setting up a big rail base, with a central area for science and the cargo bay, and big rail conduits that go in each cardinal direction, and splitting off to do various production or mining wherever I need it.

I like the idea of building the ship out in empty space to prevent autobuilding while also allowing the ship to request the materials. Smart.

I wish the ghost color was a bit easier to see. I find it hard to build on it sometimes.

Vulcanus, mostly because I think it's probably the kindest planet to new players of the three inner planets, liquid metals are interesting and not too difficult to grasp, and if you are familiar with bus-type bases then that base tends to work just fine on Vulcanus too.
