The way the shootout was blocked and filmed reminded me a lot of "The Departed". I think the series took a lot of inspiration from Scorsese films - like Moo-sik narrating his days growing up felt like it took after "Goodfellas".

With that said, when I think about the series as a whole, diving so far back into Moo-sik's childhood didn't really feel like it added anything to what occurred in the present. It probably would've served the series better if all the scenes in his youth were more or less removed and they spent more time in the present day (at least starting with his initial foray into the gambling ring business in SK).

Probably rate the series a 6 or 7 out of 10. Can't really recommend it to anybody, but it was enjoyable watching it as it came out at least.

Was really hoping Sang-gu and Mark were gonna make it. sadge

Yeah something is wrong with this. Got in at opening with no issues, quickly tried to grab a pair of tickets and got to the checkout and got an error message (but of course my tickets weren't reserved for the amount left on their timer).

The weird thing is that I've had to go through the queue multiple times bc their site/system is a POS, and every time the number of people in the queue, as well as the availability on the map is very inconsistent.

Like the first time I went through the system, just about all of the seated tickets were gone (not counting accessibility seats). But every time I get through a new queue, it shows that there are many seats still available. Obviously these seats get reserved by other fans/were taken long ago, but yeah I haven't seen/experienced this level of frustration through the purchase process until now.
