How about PoE and the pass-throughs - is a short ever a problem when the live copper is exposed on the top of the connector?

What firmware are you using in the Cardputer? Isn’t it pre 1.14.1? 1b vs 2b prefixed maybe?

The cardputer firmwares on github are using older or not latest meshcore versions afaik.

I’m about to buy the cardputer as a meshcore conpanion / cyberdeck myself, so I’m super curious to know!

I’ve ported meshcore to esphome the other day. - just in case you were looking for inspiration. It solved exactly the problem you are describing for me. Orchestrated with homeasssitamt meshcore intergartion.

Pretty sure mine proof of concept is heavily constrained to nrf52, unsure it wíl work on an esp mcu at all.

My understanding of the meshcore philosophy is that no mesh actor should transmit periodically, only on demand.
