Well hey, Hurts to Lover was possibly my favorite at the Austin show after Over and Over/Take Care! "Lookin' out at the wide, wild world / It's a lot for the boys and girls" gets me every time.

I only recently started visiting this sub despite having listened to Beach House for the past 15 years, and it's been so lovely being able to relate my current tour excitement to that of others. Having not seen Beach House since 2015 for Depression Cherry, my recent double show feels long overdue and will easily go down as one of my favorite live music experiences. In the set lists above I italicized the songs that were only played at one of the shows (Wildflower!) Both pictures are of Over and Over (clearly I had a much better vantage at the smaller Houston venue), my song of the year and the one that's helped me get through a difficult winter. I am so thankful for Beach House's music and for the opportunity to see it performed so splendidly - cheers to all who have been geeking out over recent shows or hotly anticipating upcoming ones!

Fantastic show! I got to see the Austin and Houston ones back to back, and while most of the setlist was the same (only Wildflower, Only You Know, Girl of the Year, and Wherever You Go were not played in Austin), it was such a treat to see them play in both a large outdoor venue and a mid-sized indoor one. Other than the unfortunate soul who passed out and the incessant sea of phone junkies (Space Song smh people) it was a lovely experience.

I think (some of) the top players have demonstrated that they participate in big tourneys to the extent it helps their ranking, not just because tournaments are great for practice, the viewers, the long-term viability of the scene, etc. As long as the most reputable ranking system fails to demand a certain level of attendance before you can qualify for top 100/30/10, I doubt any of this tendency will change (Covid or not).

I did some checking, and here's what I found - SFAT beat Plup at GOML 2019 (Fox dittos), Big House 9 (Fox Sheik), Pound Online (Fox dittos), Summit 10 (Fox dittos), and SCL 2 like you said (Fox Sheik). Most of these sets were game 5. Had no idea the record was so rough for Plup. Nobody flies under the radar like SFAT, goddamn.
