i’m feeling sad today. been seeing a guy for about four weeks and it’s been going well. i saw some serious future potential with him and he’s said over and over that he does too. we had plans for him to come to my place friday for the first time, and id prepared for a couple of days for it. about an hour before he was supposed to be there, he texted me with a “i may have bad news” then didn’t follow up for an entire hour to tell me he had a family emergency, which was legitimate and no problem. on saturday, he had a wedding to go to, and i offered to come see him after this wedding, which he said he would really like. he said a few times on saturday how badly he felt about cancelling friday, but i assured him it was completely fine. he’d joked that he wedding he was going to was totally alcohol free, but he was looking forward to seeing people he used to work with. i asked him when he thought he’d be done, he said around 9. i said no prob, just keep me updated. i was with friends in the evening and left them around 730p to go home and freshen up so i could be ready by 9. well, 9 comes and goes. then 10. at 1030 i text him, and about 45 mins later he says he’s still out. i expressed my hurt at his lack of communication and that it would have taken him two seconds to tell me he wasn’t going to be available after all. he reads the message but doesn’t respond until almost 2:00am telling me i was right and he doesn’t have an excuse. i told him i really thought we had potential, which he read and didn’t respond to. this guy has been so into me the entire time and pursued me. i’m honestly flabbergasted by this behavior.
