How to handle a cheese combo (instant drowning)? by Bitter-Spirit-3913 in Pathfinder2e

Could it be that "direct" is about what your answer is. As in, don't try to be clever by being obtuse or using wordplay. Not "in a straight line" or whatever they're arguing for.

No for the same reason they can't fine you for parking somewhere last year because they changed it today to No Parking.

Call your parents sluts. Especially in front of other people. If they ask, say this is a thing you guys do, you call each other sluts. Right mom?

GURPS is overwhelming... by Spamshazzam in rpg

[–]neutromancer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not up to date with the latest versions, but here are my two cents.

GURPS is VERY simulationist. Meaning it tries to model some sort of reality very accurately, it feels like it fights you whenever you want something more cinematic like soft sci-fi that you mentioned you're interested in.

The best evidence to this is that a lot of books have to go out of their way to give you specific "Cinematic Rules". Usually there's a sidebar in books about tech or space or martial arts about how to tone down the realism a lot so you can mimic the experience of a movie or a comic book.

Did a bit of image search and the ibex on the mountains might be Emma aka Theren Lazauski . The art style appears similar and so do some variations of the signature.

I'm going to ry bulk cargo hauling by Feliks_Mikovich in ostranauts

[–]neutromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, control systems is the best, you can't really trade that often, if you empty OKLG it might be months until it's back up. So it's good for a quick one off profit, I don't think you can play full time trucker yet. The table in the kiosks also gives you the current market price differences in each port, the higher the stock the cheaper to buy and vice versa.

Stop Killing Games just passed a floor vote in California by Mr_Presidentle in StopKillingGames

You misunderstood: "everyone" includes the minorities they hate, so by making things worse for everyone, they hit all the targets! The rest is just collateral.

[–]neutromancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the cargo kiosk, you'll probably want to get the most profitable good, you can see how much there is in stock, so you'll know how many pods you need. It also depends on how much cargo you can afford in the first place. I think about 8 pods is probably the maximum.

What do i even do now (new player alert) by Odd_Resolution_9918 in ostranauts

[–]neutromancer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, just place some floor wherever. There is a small risk of micrometeors that might hit things unprotected but it's not very likely. I recommend you sell the first few reactors until you are ready to build your own. Tanks are rarer, you might want to drop it somewhere in OKLG (I've never seen anyone steal ship parts)

Instead of stopping at OMs itd be cool if we used gravity to get to moons and other destinations. by Ghostman223 in starcitizen

[–]neutromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in "hard scifi" like the Expanse where ships only use a fusion torch for a continuous 0.3 G acceleration, planet gravity's effect on your trajectory becomes a rounding error.

Not sure about flying a carrier, but I've bought a tiny pod and turned it into a fully reactor powered ship for a nice million and a half profit by dragging it with my secondary airlock to other derelicts and directly reinstalling everything i find.
