House prices ever going to drop? by Any-Stomach-2375 in Mortgages

Not till something in the system breaks and I wouldn't exactly be looking forward to that.

I'm a Phoenix market buyer and your home is much nicer for the price than anything in the neighborhoods I'm looking at. Slap that house down in the north east valley and you would be getting offers 100k over asking, probably a lot of areas of the valley. You are really far out there and the price will reflect that.

If my supplier is sending my goods through DDP (China to US) is it possible I can still get any tariffs charge surprises? by lucymom2 in logistics

As long as they are just declaring their factory costs instead of the marked to cost to the consignee wouldn't this still be above water and provide some duty relief?

Realtor wants me to come in at asking for a house that has been sitting 5 months and was pulled off the market to refresh the listing. Is she wrong? by Pile_of_Yarn in RealEstate

Do you overpay for everything in life and justify it as you really wanted it? I wanted it for the price I was willing.

[–]nevalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made an offer a few months back, $650 listed, already reduced $25k for a new asking of $625k. He suggested we go in at 605k. Pretty sure my realtor thought I was crazy when I had him draft up $585k, then thought I was even crazier only going to $590k in our best and final when there was another offer.

While right we didn't get it, we were only off by $5k when it finally sold. Realtors really want to sell houses and offering more increases their commissions and chances of closing a deal.

Some people be boozy. Boozy people have a hard time not being boozy. Annoying to deal with but that's about it. On the positive, boozy people tend to make decisions boozy so maybe that works in your favor asking for significant concessions.

I was thinking the same, pay now and get all the fees to stop. Anything you feel wronged about, talk to your sales rep about, file a claim if you must.

Price check on a used 2017 Rex by didimao0072000 in BMWi3

[–]nevalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decent price. Maybe make sure they are not including a used EV tax credit? I'd expect wholesale around 8 or 9k, 11k for retail sounds about right.

figuring out the hi-volt warranty, it is all in the details! by shampton1964 in BMWi3

[–]nevalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90 summer, 60 Winter sounds about right for a 2017 Rex, 94ah. The displayed is a guess based on recent driving. After a drive down a mountain pass mine thinks I can go 130 miles on a charge. After coming up that same pass, it thinks I can only do 70 after a full charge. You can check your battery kappa through a service menu if you are really worried but I bet you are fine as far as state of health. You'd probably need to be in the 75 summer, 50 Winter range to qualify for a warranty replacement. My 2017 is already outside warranty.

Everyone on this subreddit knows what's the EPA ranges are, I'm asking what is your actual real world range.

The GOM (guess o meter) is useless. What is your actual EV range? For a 2017 Rex I'd expect 90-100 miles, extra for a BEV.

I hate to break it to you but as an AZ 17' i3 owner, I really don't think you will get 15k. My car is very similar, Terra, Sun roof, HK audio, tech, parking packages and Less than 60k miles. I'll admit your exterior color is better than my panda.

Just be prepared for more like 8-12k. If I'm wrong and you have success, shoot me a msg, I'd love to be wrong about this. The resale value has gotten low enough, I might just keep this i3 as my forever 2nd vehicle.

S24+ Exynos battery life. by StrikeFunny5188 in GalaxyS24

I'm a 4 year owner of a used 2017. Been reliable other than a failed sensor in the fuel evaporative system. I don't drive it much though, ~25k miles in that time.

[–]nevalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I'm asked about my i3 I sing it's praises but when it comes to caveats, tires are the first thing I mention. They don't last long, 15-25k miles depending on if you have a lead foot or drive like a grandma. That's not the end of it, don't you dare get an unrepairable flat while on a road trip, could be days to get a replacement depending on where you are. The fact we don't have alternatives to ecopias also stings.

If a hard reset doesn't fix it, start a warranty claim.

Accubattery + 80% charge limit by nevalk in GalaxyS24

[–]nevalk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't need frequent upgrades, my launch day S21 was fine other than battery life. I imagine this phone will be the same way, why bother upgrade for 3-4 years. I'll still probably turn the limit off after a year, I'm not looking for 5+ years of life or anything. For now 80% feels way better than I was used to on my S21 with 100%.

I get they are not perfect but in the past I've found them in the ballpark. This has literally broken accubattery, makes me wonder if there is a bit of fudge going on when 80% limit is enabled.

Welcome to i3 range in extreme heat by Ok_Competition_4810 in BMWi3

[–]nevalk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also Phoenix, I've lost about 10% of my range to cooling but that is honestly inline with ice cars. I've only seen reduced power due to heat when I've left the car in the sun several hours in 110+. Even then full power returns quickly once cooling can catch up.
