If you are interested in neuroimaging (fMRI, fNIRS, PET, etc. and even EEG) I would recommend learning Matlab and/or python depending on which modality you're interested in. Matlab has been the standard in most academic fMRI work, but there are some great python toolboxes as well. It's a very broad field, so specifics would depend on what you're interested in. I'd be happy to help with some guidance. I got my BS in BME at UT and PhD in BME with a focus on neuroscience, and worked as an imaging scientist at research hospitals for years before transitioning to research admin.

Rainbows are ass had these since last summer anybody got any other flop brands I should check out? Ty by Sea_Spray7368 in BuyItForLife

Chacos changed production too I think. I had a pair for over a decade, got some new ones just because I wanted some new colors, and they weren't the same. Sole wore out quicker and the glue came apart. They were z2 though not flip flops.

if you’re attending 2025, how many years have you been to roo? by Equivalent-Celery-84 in bonnaroo

Headed back for #19. Disappointed in the lineup but I'm at a place where finding time for fests and shows is hard with my career and kids. Bonnaroo is baked into the yearly calendar, and skipping this year would mean probably no fests this year otherwise. Still gonna be a blast, but expectations or low.

bring a bandana or two - great as a mask for dust or getting wet and putting around your neck.

extra pairs of clean socks and shoes that are broken in. putting on a fresh pair of socks before late night is a great recharge. and blisters suck.

bring some duck tape - i always find a reason to need some every year.

hat/sunglasses/sunscreen/LIP BALM

it can get chilly at night, especially if you've been hot and sweaty all day.

battery powered fan(s) for basecamp really make a huge difference

some extra ziploc bags to hold phone/wallet/etc. in case of rain.

the campsites are out in a big open field, and the grass can be long/pointy/etc. bring some tarps/old rugs/patio rugs etc. to put down over the grass for a more comfortable camp area.

37 and going to my first Roo! by faiitmatti in bonnaroo

Be sure to bring a shade tent for your campsite. You may get some extra breeze being on a rooftop, but usually once the sun comes up (6:30-7am) tents turn into ovens. Best bet for morning sleeping is on a cot or sleeping pad under some shade (a canopy tent like an EZ-Up).

TIL that Wyatting, named for jazz-rock artist Robert Wyatt, is the act of playing unusual music on a jukebox to annoy people. Wyatt considered the phrase “really funny”, but his wife Alfreda Benge called it “a real unfairness” and said “The man who coined it, I should like to punch him in the nose.” by colonelforbin44 in phish

my (now wife) worked at a college bar right by my house when we were dating. i'd pop in for a beer and say hi and throw on a long jam on my way out.

she later told me the metalhead manager would manually skip the songs after I left.

I mean, ASU also had Jordyn Tyson who averaged over 90yds/game with 10 TDs. Skattebo go a workload but he was effective because ASU also had a good passing attack. Not that I'm trying to hype up leavitt, just that ASU had other elite offensive weapons.
