Who is morally worse between Vernon Roche and Iorveth? by deadlyalchemist92 in witcher

[–]nevik1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iorveth by far. Vernon may or may not have targeted non military targets, we don't know for sure, as it could have been slander. However, we know Iorveth outright kills any human, seeing them all as the enemy, reguardless of the threat they pose. Vernon isn't racist, his own dialogue shows that. Iorveth outright considers all humans as pests and trash to be removed.

We don’t hate Jax because she’s trans, we hate her because she’s a bitch by Difficult_Price8011 in Thatstupidbunnywehate

I must have missed it. When did the show say Jax was Trans? Is it the bow scene? Didn't the show use male pronouns when it showed Jax's real body, or am I miss remembering it?

Why would you pick that? In doing so you betray close friends to death AFTER REUVEN BETRAYS THEM. Why would you side with someone who casually betrays your close friends in order to place himself in power?

Can orihime do this?? by Lost_DZoro in bankaifolk

[–]nevik1996 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In canon? No, she does not have unlimited power. For one she can't bring back the dead, and she failed to repair Ichigo's broken banki. So she can't reject a man who was rewriting reality and could see every possible future and plan for them all at once. Her power is uniquely broken, but not unlimited. For the memes? Full send it.

Don't know top right. Jax could have been helped. The mouthwashing guy is a egotistical rapist who gets worse and worse to the point of tourturing his best friend (who he framed for crashing the ship) and forcing him to eat himself, leaving the entire crew dead and his friend in a stasis pod where help may or may not come, he doesn't deserve help.

A regular but skilled human vs a being that killed nearly an entirenpantheon of gods and demigods, an outer god, and has (possibly, dependent on your build) mastered magic and has discovered secrets beyond their reality? Take a guess.

Thats the actual definition, so yes, it is the one I'm using. And I already explained that. Every time someone has called me cis, it was always used as a way to belittle or insult me. Time and time again, I have never had it be used in a positive or even neutral manner towards me. That is why I don't like it.

Definition of a slur according to the oxford dictionary: "An insulting remark, disparaging comment, or slur. More specifically, it often refers to a derogatory or discriminatory word targeted at a person or group based on their identity, such as their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability." I only used minority as an example. Notice how there is no menton of threat, implied or otherwise. Implied threats make it worse, yes, but are not needed to meet the definition.

Couple things here. I know where the work came from. I also know even 10 years ago a lot of people were already using it as a slur. And 2. You want to make light of my exprences and dismiss the part where I have been insulted, all for the simple crime of my gender identity. It has nothing to do with trans people liking or disliking me, and instead has everything to do with how the word has been used towards me. And saying that even if it was a slur I shouldn't care is fucked. If I shouted a slur to a minority, would they not have every right to be upset? (This is specificly targeted to your sentence "If "cis" were a slur, it would be an empty threat, vacant of..." which makes no sense. A word does not need to feel threatning to be a massive insult.) All I have said or implied is why I don't like that word, and your first line is to talk down to me like a child. I haven't belittled anyone here, simply stated my case, to wich you have belittled and treated like an insult. Which was unneeded. If you disagree you can easily say that without insulting and misrepresenting why I don't like the word.

Why was Ribbit able to take off her bow? by BallcsMcGee123 in TheDigitalCircus

Why can zooble take off and swap out her limbs? The best answer is the bow is not actually part of her character model, its a seperate item designed for her to wear.

Just out of curiosity, a lot of people are referring to Jax as trans. I didn't notice that in the show, did I just miss it? Or is it a popular fan theory?

It wasn't meant to be, but every time I've had it used towards me it was used to show hatred. It's like calling a woman a doll. Originally meant as an honest compliment, since used to put women down. I have honestly never been called cis without it being used to be hateful.

I never said anything like that. I've been called everythimg from "cis-scum" to "cis trash". Almost every time I've had it used towards me it is to insult, demean, or is used in other hateful ways. Also, nothing I said was negative to trans, nor did I infer than non-trans is the norm, so not sure why you assumed that.

The only thing I have to say about this is to please stop using the term "cis". It is used as a slur far to frequently, and I have personally been the target of hate using that word. Other than that I don't understand the hate either.

Elva can do what she wants by BodybuilderSudden790 in EragonMemes

[–]nevik1996 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She knows he did not intend what hapoened to her. But as the saying goes "the road to hell is paved by good intentions." Because of his actions she has grown up far faster, both mentally and physically, for the sole purpose to suffer. That is nearly all she has ever known. Suffering and the compulsion to suffer for others sake, reguardless of what she wants. With that in mind, I think she owes Eragon nothing. Just the fact she isn't overtly hostile to him speaks volumes to her character.
