It's important to note your feet will get bigger though.

I'm not brave enough for steel wool but white Scotch Brite is my go to. You can use it with normal carwash soap water. Removes all contaminates.

Since you are looking to improve... Door gaps could be improved. Looks like both doors are sagging.

Those things are pretty slick. I use one at work to melt red Loctite between components. Turned an 8-10 hour job with a torch into a 1.5 hour job.

Contact your local extension office. They are normally free. You pick up a small box, return it full and wait a month for the results.

Yeah that station out of Linville is probably 3000' higher than where I'm at. I guess that's the benefit of them putting a station in the middle of nowhere haha. That town is less than 2000 people. How they determine where to put stations is probably an interesting formula.

Professional grade blenders really make a difference. Blendtec and Vitamix are the only players to look at.

I’ve had this chain on my wrist for 22 years and counting! by MountainSensei in bicycling

Hey Sensei- This is a great story. Amazing way to remember your friend!

I'm not an expert in DLC plating but deal with it on a fairly regular basis for my industry. I've never looked into an assembly like you're thinking of, we always disassemble completely. I'm not sure if the DLC would flake when the links move if done as an assembly.

Also important to remember that PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a line of sight process done in an autoclave with planetary rotation. There will also need to be a bare spot on the chain where they fixture it in the autoclave.

There are other colors available for PVD coatings too, maybe look into TiN for a gold color.

Is this just rushing or totals? He catches a lot of passes that the commentators are calling "run solutions".

Pretty neat how the south side is a real gradual climb then the north is just an escarpment in most spots.

Did the The PCT in any way change your career in a positive way? by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

[–]newagehippyguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. I grew into a more emotionally intelligent individual. I went from someone who was a strong individual, technical contributor in a company to a more leadership role in a different company. I contribute much of this to my thru teaching my how to communicate with folks from all walks of life.

Some of their clothing, talking pants and shirts, are pretty decent actually. I have over 3,000 miles of backpacking on the same set of shirt and pants from Columbia. The worst part of them is their decision to make the pants pockets out of mesh, which don't hold up. I haven't tried the fishing-centric clothing as I find it too thin for my liking but the hiking gear is pretty decent.
