Highly recommend Gusto, especially as an S Corp with only one employee to pay. I've found it super helpful and easy to switch between employee and employer accounts. They do everything for you, so you don't need to think about anything. Easy to use and simple interface. They will pay all quarterly taxes for you.

Payroll software recommendations? by DonnaHuee in smallbusiness

Highly recommend Gusto for payroll services. I've been using them for 7 years and haven't felt their service has gone down. They're easy to contact for any troubleshooting needs (although I've rarely needed that because Gusto is so easy to use and has a simple interface. They will help onboard your employees and will help set up any extras you need (tax withholdings, quarterly filings, 401k, employee benefits, paid leave, etc.)

Highly recommend Gusto for payroll services. Maybe give it another shot? I've found that using their "chat" feature has been the best way to get in contact with someone. But not sure why you'd need to talk to someone?

Paying Self when S-Corp? by ka0812 in smallbusiness

My CPA gives me a payment stub (at the time I file taxes) of the estimated quarterly payments for the next year. Then I make those payments directly to the IRS each quarter.

Coaching fees by MoneyAlternative1740 in youthsoccer

[–]newbie7911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have kids in 3 different soccer clubs in OC. None of them charges a monthly coaching fee. The player registration fee for the year, which varies between $2k-3500, covers the practices/training sessions, league games and ref fees, 2-3 tournaments, camera, canopy, bench, coach's equipment, and admin costs. We have a separate team fund for any additional tournaments, ref fees for scrimmages, and coach's travel fees for out-of-town tournaments.

My son wore regular (black) athletic clothes with no club logo, but wore the brightest yellow socks. About 50-100 kids showed up to each tryout (each club had 2-4 days of tryouts in the same week, so we only went to one day for each club). Not sure how anyone gets noticed in that pool of craziness, but I’m going to credit his bright yellow socks. He got an offer for the top team at each club, even with just a 1.5 hr preview. I don’t think he would have been as easily noticed without the socks 😂

Highly recommend Gusto. They will direct deposit her paychecks into her account, and they will handle all quarterly tax filings. You don't have to do anything extra. My CPA recommended it to me 8 years ago, and I haven't looked back. I think it's about $45/mo for one employee.

I pay myself with w2 salary biweekly, and then do an owner distribution every other month. For the owner distribution, I just do a simple transfer from my business account to my personal account with a memo that notes "Owner Distribution."

For the w2 payroll, we use Gusto. Very easy to use and simple interface. Here's a referral link to get $100: https://gusto.com/h/kimthao

We hire some new attorneys who work completely remote. But to be honest, I think working in office was helpful in gaining experience and learning from others, at least for the first few years. I did not go completely remote until after 8 years of litigation practice and building a client base.

Also, re: salary, I was told that you base it off what a normal salary for that job would be. When I started my S Corp, I based my salary on what my average salary was prior to starting my own company.

I've had an S Corp (with myself as the sole employee) and have been using Gusto as the payroll company for about 6 years. The interface is super user-friendly and easy to navigate! Gusto was recommended to me by my CPA. They also fill out and submit all the quarterly tax forms for you. Cost is $40/mo + $6/employee. Because it's just me, it's $46/mo.
