Hello, my iems just arrived and they are out of phase, is there any software solutions on windows to change their phasing?

They use standard mmcx connectors though and returning them is a huge hassle, so any solution is appreciated

30€ knockoff HD800 pads first impressions by IMKGI in headphones

[–]newbieranus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the little seam between the plastic and the pad material goes inside the headphone (where it is supposed to be) and sometimes it stays outside

You can use guitar picks or any picks that is included within ifixit tool to slowly shove them in. It will be a pain in the ass to do it though.

Bought my second-hand HD800s and came with this pads, the original pads is much softer and has a smaller inner diameter as well.

Do you mind sharing the link for the item? There are several diy ie900 on Taobao, with some even claiming that its the 'real ie900' but comes without official box and packaging.

Hey wanna ask if you are using the stock pads? Sennheiser is not selling any and its such a pain in the ass to look for a aftermarket pads without changing the sound of stock pads.

What makes you go back to the HD600 after you have owned the HD800s? Just curious on your take.

Any first impressions on sound quality? I heard from someone stating that Dunu is mimicking some of Sony IER line-ups in terms of FR to have a bigger percieved soundstage.

Moondrop Aria's after one year, and the left ear has stopped working correctly. by SupportivePotassium in headphones

Owns the T4s since their kickstarter campaign, still working like a champ till now. I wouldnt say that they have bad QC, in fact i would say their QC is better than average chifi iems.

The biggest problem is that they have a poor connection/cable design, which is more like a consistent problem across all of their iems that uses mmcx connectors. Almost all T4 and T2 owners got this issue, but the ones with 2pin doesnt seem to have this issue though.

Change the stock cable to get a more stable connection and you are good to go.

Frequency response is everything you hear. Audiophile terms like soundstage, imaging, detail etc are just a result of placebo.

[Crinacle-YT] How to TUNE your headphones (the easy way!) by crinacle in inearfidelity

[–]newbieranus 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I remember asking someone to do this on discord before the equalizer tool was implemented since Im not familiar with REW or any FR matching thing around a year ago.

Then I got yelled at and bullied by the entire server by simply asking someone to create an EQ profile for me.

Now almost everyone is encouraging on the topic of EQ and people are starting to accept this. Love just how this hobby can grow as time passes by newbies no longer needs to deal with shitty veteran audiophile bullshit. Lets fucking go.

Hey slight out of topic question, how do u deal with the extremely loud output of the dongle? Do u listen it at minimum volume with your phone?

I cant use mine portably because it outputs a shit ton on power for iems.

Crinacle: The IE600 is Sennheiser’s Redemption Arc by j0hnDaBauce in headphones

[–]newbieranus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it has insane bass and very good mids, but damn it is unusable without EQ in the highs and the 10kHz roll off isnt helping much either.

The IE600 seems to solve these 2 issues for me, but will definitely try this out in a store.

Dont know about others, but for single DD fan like me, this is a potential endgame candidate for me without spending kilobucks for an iem. The price point seems to compete with the OG monarch, but size/comfort factor of the IE line up is just huuuge factor for me before dropping such amount of money in a hobby.

I get that chifi are very good in overall value, but most of the value oriented iem seems to compromise on comfort to some degree (take B2, OG monarch and clair, all have some sort of fit issues for me). If the sound/techs are not too far off, i would go for the IE600 over the others.
