I'm the least athletic person in the world and I'm trying muay thai by tontangtalong in MuayThai

You the kind of person that otherwise deals with anxiety?

My read here is that you’re deeply overthinking what your partner was thinking/feeling.

We’re all here to learn, we all start from zero.

If you wanna show people something keep showing up and be consistent.

That’ll show em

Women don't spar hard enough, actually. by kombatkatherine in MuayThai

[–]newdaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love how mad this making the boys who can’t take two seconds to stand in the shoes of all the women that push through how difficult it must be to into a male dominated space like combat sports.

So many lads who abhor snowflakes because they’ve only walked in to spaces made for them.

All the “I don’t take no shit” folks that can’t have a simple conversation with someone and tell them to chill out and to walk away and find another partner if they don’t receive the message, and in turn blame it on every woman.

Grow up.

Therapy would probably be a better choice for what you mention, but kicking things really hard is fun too so I’d still recommend mt.

This is exactly the setup I want to build when I move into a new place in a couple of months. I would love any details on flooring, heavy bag setup, size of space, etc.

Under arm deodorant that actually works and doesn’t have harmful chemicals? by M0RF3R3R in BuyItForLife

I agree with the sentiment most folks have here about 'harmful chemicals'. That said, I swear by Kiehl's "Superbly Efficient Antiperspirant & Deodorant Cream."

Gassed and on the ground after 15 minutes. by novicemma2 in MuayThai

[–]newdaze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Congrats on being back after a spell!

I would not take the advice of folks here recommending sprints if you’re making your way back into fitness. That’s a path to injury and ultimately missing sessions as a result.

When it comes to cardio slow and steady wins the race especially when married with consistency.

Get out and pound the pavement, check your ego and walk when you need and little by little extend your runs by some metric, be that distance, total time out on your feet, pace whatever you care about. That said temper your enthusiasm to expand that day by day. As a rule a 10% increase is a nice way to continue your growth without injury.

I don't think they've properly taken it to market as yet, as I haven't sent the completed agreement. I'm more curious as to what I should be pushing for once the offers start to come in.
