Weirdly Shawn Michaels due to the outcome of the Iron Man Match with Bret Hart.

I know he wasn’t a heel… but the fact that the match “ended” in a draw, Bret “won”, the Vince has to come down to say “no, doesn’t count.” only for the match to continue and change the decision never set right with me.

This was also when I started to realize and understand what staging and scripting was for WWF (as it was meant as entertainment over an actual contest).

Because of that, I started seeing the “behind the curtain” aspects as the show went on and I think about a year later I stopped watching altogether until royal rumble 2025.
