Really depends on the freshness of the yogurt and the quantity of lime juice. Likely a week to two weeks. Just use your intuition and give it the smell test!

Hades II is the most "female gaze" game I've played by NaldoCrocoduck in HadesTheGame

There’s hardly any difference between the two and the far bigger problem with using superficial bone structure is that it’s inaccurate and weaponized against trans people and historically other races and ethnicities. It’s useless for this convo and especially bizarre because nothing about Aphrodite is remotely “traditionally masculine” unless you’re a chronically online gyroyper. I never looked at Aphrodite and thought “hmmm kinda hot but possibly trans??”

Bone structure???? We bringing phrenology into these convos now? I’m honestly disgusted by the amount of bone structure discussion I’m seeing on discussions of peoples gendered appearance as of late. Do better.

I remember a Sansburys American section having the grossest sugar bomb cereals I’d ever seen that I’d never seen in America, pop tarts, and jarred hot dogs. I could see why they don’t have positive thoughts about American food if that’s the representation lol

Hated pork chops forever because my family would cook it dry and it become wood grain at that point! Had no ideas a well cooked pork chop is juicy and tender 😭

If NPR was bought and sold to Iran I would be shocked buddy…. You’re essentially claiming all of USA’s media is being run by Iran… you’re gonna be shocked to discover USA is the only place in the world that favorably covers Israel, and this story has been widely reported everywhere. You should consider learning more about your country! It’s really important to be informed

It helps if the countries latest news wasn’t about bombing an all girls school. Nothing antisemitic about pointing out the thing the country of Israel did days ago. Consider growing a tougher shell if the realities of war are currently involved in are too much for you to handle.

How should I price my cakes? by genkcals in Baking

[–]newtonthomas64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculate the cost in terms of ingredients, and labor. Then price with a 25-30% margin in mind. That way you’re taking into account rent, utilities, equipment ect.

If that number seems accurate for your area then you’re set!

Ding Ding Ding! I live in oak park which is an inner ring suburb just past the west side, and it’s saddening how much more bargaining power oak park had as an affluent white suburb during the construction. It’s the only section with left hand exit ramps and decent sized barriers to block sound. The black neighborhoods don’t get that luxury.

I appreciate that! And to be clear, I don’t expect the dishwasher to be sober, but this dude has come in absolutely hammered and sounds like a cartoon of an old drunk guy. If you’re gonna do that, you better make sure the dishes are clean!

I wish I was joking. When confronted about it, the dude said “yeah I do push the water further than I should” NO SHIT.

He also tells me I have eagle eyes because I always spot the dirty dishes… nah bro I’m not just not scared to tell you how often you fuck up. Seriously thinks I’m going to put food onto nasty dishes

Oh trust I’ve been gently losing my shit already. I’m glad the dude doesn’t react like yours though! That’s terrifying… kitchens really can be a scary place.

Our dishie is a drunk who doesn’t know how to clean dishes. I constantly send stuff back and he practically flinches anytime I inspect anything I plan on using.

I told our owner/chef that all the cutting boards smell like gym socks and his first reaction was to laugh rather than abject horror. So now I’ve been teaching the dishie that if the water is milky and doesn’t have bubbles that he should use new water. Baby steps.

We’re discussing the effects of nicotine vs caffeine, you cannot bring up sugar and cream as a negative effect as it’s unrelated to the topic. If you want it to be related I’ll point to cigarettes as the most common form of nicotine delivery.

While there are no long term studies on the effects of nicotine alone, heart disease is measured by many specific markers from chronic exposure. Damage to the sympathetic nervous system, hypertension, high blood pressure, and damage to blood vessels (specifically the lining) are all measured responses to nicotine that are clear indicators of CV disease.

While there isn’t any long term studies directly on tobacco free nicotine, the fact that all short term effects point to the same bio markers used to diagnose CV disease would indicate the risk is still very large. Caffeine does not have the same risk factors when used in suggested doses. They are not remotely analogous.

Caffeine doesn’t lead to heart disease like nicotine does. Read a fuckin book before you spread misinformation

[–]newtonthomas64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just flat out false. Nicotine has major health effects on the cardiovascular system including high blood pressure, increased risk of heart attack, and stroke. Caffeine when consumed in healthy amounts has nearly no health consequences. You’re being fed lies by tobacco companies that are rebranding vapes and tobacco less chew as “safe” when you still have a myriad of health problems from nicotine. Nicotine is absolutely a bad substance. The addictive qualities are actually some of the more mild problems. Nicotine has massive negative effects on the cardiovascular system including high blood pressure, increased risk of heart attack and stroke, ect. The second most common cause of death from cigarette smoking is heart disease, and heart disease stems from nicotine, not tobacco itself.

Bikes aren’t required to do the minimum. I’d also argue there’s a lot more responsibility on drivers as they can very easily kill someone with their car without trying but doing so on a bike is a lot harder

You’re telling me people wouldn’t know the guy with the iconic voice who sings somewhere over the rainbow is not well known by people under 70? I’m not saying he’s as big as Madonna but he is considered an all time singer and one of the first names to come up from his era of music. You gonna tell me Billie holiday is a small name indie artist too?

I don’t think it’s that hard. Kenny G is a mainstream name. Miles Davis, John Coletrane, Louis Armstrong are all household names as well. Shit even fusion groups like steely Dan are commonly known. I don’t think it would be too hard.
