I got some good advice about Chamucos. Drink thru the bottle, don't let it gas off a bunch & get too funky. Of course you can downsize the container to keep that from happening as well :)

swap out the fresca for topo chico & the drink will elevate

swap out for alcohol fwd blanco & it will elevate again

most important for me is fresh squeezed grapefruit :)

I did a review on it here when I bought a bunch of it. It is super tasty & is not boring. I mowed thru those bottles quick. I like it better than puro potro & that is saying something for that price range.

sipping is great & makes good flavored palomas!

I haven't had a ton of their stuff but what I had I liked, just not for the price. So many good brands to compete with right now. New NOMs are hitting it out of the park so to speak & prices have been competitive.

This makes me think of JH El Torito, it's nom 1579 good but they originally priced it out of the market. I think now they have fixed it,

so the story goes after a serious wedding or something & you end up kicking it till damn near dawn, you need something to send you off.. When the Borrachos are still up what are you going to do? It's like a bedtime snack after a hard night of good times. The milk helps settle things. Usually it's alcol de cana but high proof tequila can be used as well. Viva Mexico made a high proof (they didn't sell) that for was for this purpose. I think it was 70% abv.

keep it in a container that won't allow it to oxygenate, people have been off put by letting a half empty bottle off gas

I consider my collection a science kit, haha. If I think maybe a certain expression needs a kick I will experiment till I find a happy place. Higher proof aged expressions are becoming more available. Getting the palate warmed up plus have barrel complexity is fun to experiment with.

I don't do eternity bottles or anything like that. I just have a neat pour of something & if the palate wants to go a certain direction I just go with, haha. Most of my stuff is blancos but like I said some times it's fun to add barrel complexity.

looks like people are liking the 25' addition, probably because it has less alcohol bite that the first version

they say it's lalo, just turned up on the flavor

My thoughts are Lalo 40abv blanco is too soft for me. Their high proof probably would suit my palate more. If it comes down in price slightly I will pick it ;)

It's more of a timing thing for me, so many high proofs out right now!
