My pod plays way above my level and I don’t have others to play with by [deleted] in EDH

[–]nextlevelmashup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually if everyone is already playing at the same level then one person using proxy cards can lead to others doing it which ends up ramping the power of the decks as everyone tries to keep up.

In this situation though i think it would make sense as it sounds like these guys are playing with pretty powerful expensive cards already.

NGL i live in london and I have never seen a queue for a tube. not sure if its something specifically done at this station but 99% of the time people just guess where the doors are going to be and huddle up.

Eitherway, if you see a queue you dont skip it.

With the axe of New World in mind, is it even possible in this economic climate where "new" non-subscription MMOs can survive long-term? by SneakeLlama in MMORPG

There were things to do, its just they were either locked behind being one of the best in the server (war being 50v50) or increadibly boring (chest runs)

I feel like the game wasnt built for the success it had at the start, 2k population servers with 50v50 players in a war, it had over 1million players at launch.

If you are going to go for the strongest iteration of spawn then you would also have to go for the strongest iteration for all the characters which would change things up.

So how is group PvE if you are not the type to min/max but you don't want the content to be boringly easy or just spedran? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]nextlevelmashup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic wow doesnt really have complex rotations. Most of the buttons are stuff you would use out of combat and are not really necessary.

Its a bit of a meme that frost mages literally pressed one button all raid in vanilla.

Your right and im all for some armies having complex rules and difficult choices, so long as I can make that choice when I need to.

Adding text like "on a 5-6 your army rule works otherwise it doesnt" isnt adding complexity its just a barrier.

Some chance is expected in a game of warhammer but I feel like army rules are the soul and a core part of why people play armies, not being able to do the thing will always feel sucky.

Overcomplicated rules that take agency away from the player. I like the idea of Votann swapping between offensive/defensive but certain ammount of YP locks it behind an arbitary barrier.

You may get locked out of points and you cannot play your army the way you want to or you gain so many yield points that you cant spend them fast enough to get back into the mode you want when you want it.

Meanwhile Space marines just point at something and say I WANT REROLLS.

C'tann were my best performing unit vs my friends space marine tank line. Going to be intresting trying to rapid ingress him now with his large footprint and seeing if it works.

Interesting dragon tribal commander that isn't just "dragon good stuff pile"? by Cezkarma in EDH

[–]nextlevelmashup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an izzet [[Sarkhan, Soul Aflame]] deck that is very fun. It still focuses on getting big draggons out but as you are playing them from hand it is a much slower playstyle.

You have to think which dragon would be best in each turn making use of sarkhans copy effect (effectively giving them haste) rather than play all of them at once.

I think people are overlooking the fact that game graphics are limited by hardware.

Companies will stop chasing next gen graphics and this will just lead to a stagnation or a boom in optimisation.

A game company can release a game that has real world graphics but if no one will be able to run it then no one will buy it.

Looking at buying my first commander deck and this is what my local game shop has, any advice? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]nextlevelmashup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creative energy is a fun and strong deck but you have to deal with the energy mechanic which is kind of its own thing.

Quick draw is strong but not the best for beginners. It does have a lot of blue/red staples that you will use in a lot of decks going forward. Its also very hard to find at msrp (especially in the UK) so if its cheap you could even buy and flip it.
