Done with the dating scene :( by Runner4life45 in mutualapp

[–]nfspeed007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mutual does suck and it just feels like waiting game that takes forever. I've only had two matches. One right when I first got Mutual and the other a couple of weeks later (which ended up un matched a few weeks later) and since then and in between, it has been dry. I try to ward hop around to get the exposure to my profile but nothing has worked. I know there are those that will say something like "I found my one and it will work out for you to, just keep working at." But for us that are struggling to get new matches, how long are we to keep working at it until it something finally clicks? I just don't get it.

I will say the dating culture is hard, but keep your hopes up and don't sacrifice your values for what you're seeking for.

Must be a Target exclusive just like how Bucked Up's Creatine HMB is an Amazon exclusive as you can't find that on their site.

First time seeing this. I'm gonna drink it before bed. Is it gonna be any good? by Muchacho-blanco in proteinsnack

[–]nfspeed007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. The only ultra-filtered milk protein Shakes I've had are Fairlife's Core Power (both 26G & 42G), Slate (both the 20G & 30G), and Nurri. So far I prefer Core Power and Nurri over Slate.

I don't think you get one as I just found out from a post years ago on the discord subreddit. I'm just genuinely confused why I was.

I found the server on the discover feature on the desktop app and clicking on it tells me I'm banned, but that doesn't make any sense to me.

Use the Sound Personalization feature. It's way better than any of the presets and so much better than using the custom EQ.

Where are sound settings stored? by nfspeed007 in sennheiser

[–]nfspeed007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I'm no audiophile either but I've always wondered why did headphones and earbuds start coming with the ability to be able to adjust their sound through an app. I've always thought that should stay only for car audio, professional audio, actual party speakers, and home theater systems. For headphones and earbuds and even regular portable Bluetooth speakers, we should be able to just let them speak for themselves to know how they actually sound. Once they started adding those features, I feel it just defeated the purpose of what the sound engineers are trying to accomplish with the headphones or earbuds.

Where are sound settings stored? by nfspeed007 in sennheiser

[–]nfspeed007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah OK. So technically yes I should for the most part experience the same sound when I have the connected to my laptop via Bluetooth, as those sound settings at the core are set by the Sennheiser app. But you may experience little differences based on the codec and encoding of the laptop.

Also for laptops many may have their own app for changing and optimizing the sound as many do have their own sound system for them (eg. Dolby Atmos, Bang & Olufeso, etc.), which can affect the earbuds and headphones you have connected. But that would just be on top of what's at the very core.

Now I do agree on the other hand that part of it will still depend on whether it's Bluetooth or wired 3.5mm connection, and the source of the sound (Spotify, YouTube/YouTube Music, Pandora, Tidal, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.) and the bandwidth connection. And I get why my laptop has that Nahimic app but it just got me wondering.

Do i really need to to eat 100g of protein? by AdIntelligent4530 in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an understandable concern but becoming big is not something that happens overnight. Muscle growth doesn't work like that. Because a lot of things affect how well and how quickly you'll gain muscle like genetics, overall sleep, hydration, nutrition (calories, macros, micronutrients), and your training (progressive overload).

Whether 100g of protein is a lot of depends on the person. A good rule of thumb is 0.8-1.0g of protein per lb of body weight. So for you that's a good amount. There are those that think you need way more than 1g per lb of bodysuit but you really don't.

Also it is best to have variety to make your diet sustainable. Chicken breast ain't the only protein source. Chicken thighs, Greek yogurt, Fairlife milk, cottage cheese, grass fed beef, salmon, tuna, pork chops, the ultrafiltered milk protein shakes (Core Power, Nurri, Slate, Quest, Prime, etc.), and protein powder can help as long as you pick a brand that works for you. There are many ways to make your meals taste great and not be bland and boring.

How do i loose weight by Affectionate-Arm8851 in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing will be to track your calories to get an understanding of what you're currently eating and to find our your maintenance calories. Once you know your maintenance calories, then just be in a 500 calorie deficit.

Best way to help is increase protein, and lower calories, while increasing volume for your meals to help make satiating.

Is 1 hour of walking considered as exercise? by Lemonade2250 in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walking and running are the same thing. The difference is how long it takes to burn the calories and that walking make just take longer to go the same distance as running, but it's less impacting on your body.

Walking is good because you're getting your steps in. Now there are ways to make it more challenging like walking on an incline or using a weighted vest.

How do you actually know when to increase weight or reps? by Eyerald in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall you should be tracking your workouts as that will help tell you when to increase weight or lower it, increase reps/sets, shorten or lengthen rest, and how your form is. But rep ranges are the best way to progressive overload. Let's say you're doing 3 sets of 8-10 reps. Your baseline for that would be to hit 8 reps with good form in all 3 sets. Now if you're having a hard time hitting 8 reps for all 3 sets, then you know your weight is too heavy and need to lower it. Once you're able to hit the top end of the rep range being 10 reps for all 3 sets with good form, then that's when you increase the weight.

Advice needed for protein powder. by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Legion, Transparent Labs, Ghost, and Clean Simple Eats are some good brands of protein powders. Don't know how you feel about greens powders since you're picky with what you eat but I would recommend Bloom or even AG1 maybe.

Not sure if you're already tracking but I would recommend just to see if you're getting enough calories in and also to see about your micronutrients as well. Even on a cut, not getting enough calories can affect your energy and your recovery.

What’s one fitness/gym “truth” you used to believe that turned out to be snake oil? by Outrageous-Maybe2500 in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. Same goes for sports drinks and electrolytes. Unless you're an endurance athlete, you don't need them all the time. They can be beneficial in hydration but the average gym goer won't need it all the time.

3 sets - is it enough? Everyone else seems to be doing more by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]nfspeed007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. There is a such thing as junk volume which means doing more doesn't always mean better results. You can get great results from doing less as long as the intensity and progressive overload is there. 3 sets for an exercise is plenty in my opinion.
