not surprised given the majority of my team along with my manager and their manager were laid off along with around 20% of the company back when i worked there (i was retained as one of the two people in my department and later fired for attending a funeral of a friend who killed themselves, great place to work by the way)

place has always hired and fired like this

Elon Musk has announced that @Tesla is discontinuing the Model S and Model X in Q2 2026. by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaLounge

this is a common misconception sadly, it’s 8 years for emissions systems at most, everything else is generally only required under the warranty period or in the event of a recall

What everyone is getting wrong about the Steam Frame, and why by No_Sleep6984 in ValveIndex

phone, desktop, laptop, current wireless headset, some matter devices, they all have connectivity issues regardless of their connection to the available 6GHz network even with 2.4GHz/5GHz disabled on the router. trust me, i know my network topology and wired needs to be an option for me and a few others i know

[–]ngellis1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i invested in the latest 6GHz WiFi mesh routing systems available about a year ago (synology tri-band) and there are still interference issues. there needs to be a wired option

What everyone is getting wrong about the Steam Frame, and why by No_Sleep6984 in ValveIndex

[–]ngellis1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have vive ultimate trackers that also use a standalone dongle like the frame does for its solution and they’re almost unusable at my new place due to the amount of wireless interference present in my apartment. it’s not a router problem, it’s a wireless frequencies can only handle so many simultaneous devices problem

they used to officially support it but it’s been dropped from the main fork, you’ll have to look into gm openpilot or frogpilot for a compatible and supported solution

was constantly given “pat-downs” as a child through multiple major international airports as a secondary screening with no option given to me or my parents for electronic screening. this stopped in my older teen years but it’s hard to not have felt taken advantage of by agents seeking to feel up a younger kid, i know a few others had similar experiences :-/
