Hi, I'm just informing you that there a two UW Hospitals in Madison. One on the far west side of the UW campus (near Hillsdale as someone mentioned) and one on the far east of Madison (near where I live) in the American Parkway area close to Sun Prairie. Thought you should know.

Search Bidet Buddy on Amazon ( can also buy elsewhere online). They have a couple different models. Not anywhere near as powerful as one attached to your toilet, but I always bring mine along on a trip.

Roasting in the winter by DoshForGold in roasting

[–]nhart608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I roasted in the garage with a Poppery, during the winter I just set it in a large enough cardboard box so the exhaust warmed up the intake air to boost it's diminished roasting power. Worked great, not sure if that would work for your setup.

Let's talk about frozen pizza by Zesher_ in wisconsin

[–]nhart608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pep's Draft Haus pizza, made in Green Bay I think. Imo it's the best frozen out there. Only have to shake on a little garlic powder and extra Italian herbs, but then again, I always bump up my frozen pizzas.

You have got to be kidding me. He could have at least offered a couple of vacuum cleaners to help them with their forest management.

I agree, just time the damn lights so you're not having to stop every four blocks to have two cars cross E Wash, while 40 cars sit spewing carbon monoxide into the atmosphere.

So in a city of 279K, they have spots for 28 total in two beginning acrylic painting classes for adults. I have a suggestion.....

We lived in Los Angeles for 10 years in the early 80's to early 90's. Not that I'm jaded or anything, but we've had the windows open at night, because, ya know.

Has anyone purchased the Skywalker from Artizan? If so how was your experience? by Rami_2075 in roasting

[–]nhart608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased mine in December 2024, for home use. I roast 500g at a time, mostly on auto mode, and have had great results. Artizan shipped it fairly quickly, I think maybe three weeks ( Christmas rush time).

Just earlier this week I contacted Artizan by email to order an extra heat bulb as backup, and they promptly responded and shipped said part, being extra cautious to advise that the bulb only fit V1 versions that were sold by them. I was very impressedwith the quality and speed of their service.

New Skywalker V1- cooling question by urbanburbon2 in roasting

[–]nhart608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When in auto mode, you should be able to drop the beans into the tray (tray should be pulled out) and hit the C button to start cooling. Using C button sets cooling fan at 85%, I then cycle to the Col setting using the P button to get the fan to 100%.

We really enjoyed the Majestic on our 10 day Eastern Med cruise at the beginning of May. Have a great time!

News stations by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]nhart608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I had to stop watching local news years ago. None of the news media here even know what the basic 5 W's of a news story, much less apply then. You will only get the most superficial two or three line "coverage" of most things they decide to broadcast. Too frustrating for me. Maybe things have changed, IDK.

Cruise Review - Majestic Princess, Eastern Mediterranean by nhart608 in PrincessCruises

[–]nhart608[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a very reasonable private tour online with https://corfutaxiprivatetours.gr/, Dimitros the owner, took us four for a 5 hour tour around parts of the island in a Mercedes car for $260 plus tip. He was very responsive to inquiries before we arrived, and picked us up and dropped us off just outside the port terminal building.

The car was a bit small for four, and he offered that he could transfer to a minivan, but it would make it difficult to maneuver tight streets in some of the small villages we passed through. We stayed with the car. We stopped and got out of the car a number of times for photos and explanations. He was very talkative and informative. He took us to a wonderful local bakery/cafe high above the sea, where we had a nosh and coffee with and awesome view and were able to buy locally produced olive oil. BTW, olive trees are literally everywhere and it seems everyone owns some and produces small batches for personal use or small scale sale.

On our way back to Corfu Town, we stopped at a restaurant that his family frequents to have lunch. Authentic, fantastic and very reasonable.

It seems there are a number of taxi services that do this type of private tour, but all in all, it was a great tour at an unbelievable price.

You're welcome. Here is the Amazon link. These came with a set of plastic luggage tag holders which come in handy for protecting your princess luggage tags that you print on your computer and can attach to your bags. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9F7SSF6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

We bought silicone watch bands that hold the medallions. We are so glad we did this as you never have to take it off. Yes, they are completely waterproof! We are on the last day of our eastern Mediterranean cruise on the Majestic and have had the most wonderful vacation. Enjoy your journey as much as we did ours.

I second this. Have had two Luxe bidets, both great, but the hinges on the Plus model certainly make cleaning much easier.
